I come to Hermann a few times a year and usually stay 2-3 days at a time. They have good pizza but have messed up the last two times(both in last 3 months) I have gone in.

The first time a few months ago we decided to order a pizza and they totally messed up two of the four toppings on it. We had a group so luckily there were other pizzas my wife could eat as she couldn't eat one of the toppings on that pizza that we ordered. Manager/owner guy who is always there said he was sorry.

In the last few weeks we went and got horrible service. The place was packed and we got the last table. We ordered our drinks, appetizer, and pizza within 15 minutes of arriving. We got our drinks(water, glass of wine, soda) for the 3 of us. Server didn't come around until about a half hour later to refill drinks, than another 15 minutes and asked, You don't have your food yet? So we are there about 50 minutes in and don't even have our appetizer or silverware. At the same time a few tables of people who came in after us have silverware, drinks, appetizers, and meals. We called the waitress over at a hour and asked what is going on. At that time she checked and came back to our table saying the order got deleted somehow. She entered this into a kiosk the first time and never asked for the order from us again. So either she never submitted the order or really I have no clue. Said would comp some of our meal. Already there over a hour and hungry so we stayed because thought it would speed up. We got our cheese bread about 1 hour and 40 minutes into sitting down, pizza came out about 10 minutes after that. Got our bill and was for the full amount. Talked to the manager/owner who is always at front and he said just pay $25. Basically got $10 off our meal and we still tipped the waitress for some reason. Three ladies sitting at the table next to us all ordered pasta and didn't receive their cheese bread appetizer. They told the same waitress they didn't receive it and just to cancel it. The pizza is good but not worth the wait. If ever in town and wanting pizza again I will try carry out here and also check the order before I leave. I would have given at least 2 stars because the pizza is good but neither the waitress or manager really seemed concerned...

This place has the best pizza it’s always been a favorite of mine , today I was eating in with my family. The server she was the worst I’ve ever had, I work in the restaurant industry, I would be embarrassed if she worked at one of my restaurants.. you could tell she was in a mad mood from the get go, I get it life happens, I Complimented her on her nails try being super nice, I seen that She just got another table and was focused on that. Mine and my father Drinks had been empty for sometime. The machine is right there, so I got up to go refilled them , She came out of nowhere and said that she would do it, She dropped off my dad’s drink . left my drink at the Machine with zero communication to what was going on.. My husband got my drink after a some time went by, our Server was walking back-and-forth, not saying anything. I took a drink of it, That’s when I realized the soda machine was out. She finally comes back to our table, asked me if my drink was watered down which she knows it was, she said that’s why it took so long. With an attitude like I was a child . I said - I was unaware of that because of the lack of communication. And don’t even bother with it.. Our check was around $98. I gave the lady $100. Normally on a check like this being in the service industry, I would tip at least $30 $35 if the service is bad I will tip 20$ 25$ Everybody has a bad day. The change was a dollar something guess they didn’t want that either because my dad’s wife said they threw it on top of her togo box as we were walking out.. I guess they have Really good business and don’t have to worry about the quality of service that they give. Because that...

The pizza was good, my wife said the pasta was ok but the Alfredo sauce tasted like it was from a jar. For less than $8 the quality was on par with the price so no complaints there. The pizza crust was too thin for my taste but it had a good flavor and a decent amount of toppings. The atmosphere was nothing special.

This is a small place, maybe 12 tables, and we came in on a Saturday when the place was packed. The sign at rhe door said wait to be seated so we waited, and waited and no one ever came to take our name or greet us. There was two women working the tables and a teen boy at the back counter who was distracted by everything around him.

After about 5 minutes the kid from the back finally came up and took our names. By this time another 3 groups had come in and multiple tables had left. They cleaned the tables and since we were first in line told us we could pick out table. We sat down to find the 3 other tables get served before us. 10 minutes later the second woman appears and asks if we are ready to order food and drinks. If took 30-45 minutes for our food to arrive and no one ever asked if we wanted a second drink. The lady who took our order showed up after we were mostly done and asked if I wanted another beer.

Bottom line. Decent food for the price but...

We were so pleasantly surprised with this place! The food was absolutely delicious - my husband and I both got the linguine with marinara and meatballs (I got the "small plate" size in the picture) and split a regular salad. Portion sizes were huge, prices were great, and the food was so good and fresh. Loved our salad with house Italian vinaigrette and we both really loved the pasta and housemade meatballs. We visited on a Saturday night so it was very busy and the service was likely a little slower than usual, but the staff was very friendly and were all working hard to get everyone taken care of. We would definitely visit again if/when we come back to Hermann!

You could knock me over with a feather! We dined here because it was one of the few places where I knew beforehand that the vegetarian in our group could find something to eat. We were completely taken aback at how delicious our meal was. One guest commented the pizza ranked among the best they've had. My salad was so fresh it might have been picked by a garden out back, but the real delight was my fettucine with added mushrooms. The sauce was perfect: rich, creamy, buttery, but not overpoweringly so, and the cheese was noticeable! Do yourself a favor and come to this unassuming restaurant for a wonderful meal.
