Family run and operated. Cozy little spot near Hermosa Beach Pier. Yes, we all know the place is small. I don't recommend it for large parties. Order to go and have a seat on the beach, it's right there. You can't beat the view. Despite the size of the place, The real magic happens in the kitchen. The art of great authentic Mexican food isn't something you just smother with cheese and salsa. It comes down to the ingredients used day in and day out. Been coming here for years and it's hard for me to decide what is my favorite meal. The main man and the master chef always has surprises up his sleeve; the best meals aren't on the menu ;)
They're extremely popular for their breakfast burritos here. Well portioned and able to create it to your liking. You can't beat the price for the amount of food you are receiving. One of my personal favorites is the bacon cheeseburger. Yes, I said the bacon cheeseburger. Get it how the chef prepares it. Overall great quality of food. The best Mexican Food in the south...
Read moreA small place with big flavor. I was visiting from out of town and staying at Sonesta Redondo Beach & Marina. This place is a quick drive from the hotel and although it has limited seating it serves good food! The clientele seems to be a mix of locals, contractors and day laborers. Many of the workers who visit this place speak Spanish and could very likely be from Central America, which would make sense since the food tastes authentic and it is flavorful. I actually sat down and ate at the place. It’s is small so unless your party is 2 or less I would recommend take out. But the lady working up front was friendly and the kitchen was very efficient. The place could use a little paint retouching and maybe some decor updates, but that did not put me off. The service was good, the food was great, the portions were generous and seating was comfortable even if small. So they get 5 stars from me. If you’re staying at one of the local hotels and want a more traditional flavor then this is one place...
Read moreWe were overwhelmed by how delicious our meals were that I forgot to take pictures! I ate the best carne asada torta of all time! The meat was so tender and the flavowas so spot on that I absolutely recommend everyone to try it. I was hesitant to order a torta with asada meat because you can usually expect the meat to be a bit tough or have a measly meat to bread ratio. Not the case here. I made sure to compliment the chef! We also ordered the asada taco and the Mexican pizza. We all loved our dishes. The staff were really sweet and attentive. They were so kind and made my 4 year old his own little quesadilla plate. The location is pretty small. Only about 3 main seating areas. They were really busy with takeout orders. Street parking is limited and is...
