Fellow lengua fiends, meet your next smash burger obsession. @proudlyservingla’s slow-smoked (grass-fed) beef tongue pastrami cheeseburger. Super duper tender, peppered just enough, and only available at their @beachwoodlb location for now. It reminded me of an old-school pastrami ‘hood burger except with much higher quality ingredients. Gotta go all the way while I’m at it with their excellent duck fat fries and my favorite local IPA (Amalgamator). Also, their founder is an old east coast punk!

Proudly Serving in Hermosa Beach is an absolute gem that blends old-school nostalgia with top-tier burger craftsmanship. From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed by a fun 80’s vibe—complete with a Flux Capacitor from Back to the Future and vintage Simpsons pinball machines. It’s a local spot that feels both retro and refreshing. The customer service is fantastic, giving off friendly neighborhood burger joint energy. Everyone is welcoming, and if you’re unsure about the wine selection, don’t hesitate to ask for a sample before you commit. The beer and wine bar area makes it easy to kick back and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. For sports fans, the covered patio with a large projector is a prime spot to catch the big game while indulging in some serious comfort food. Now, let’s talk about the food—because it’s the real star here. The burgers are Oklahoma-style, meaning they’re packed with grilled onions, seared into the patty to maximize flavor. It’s not quite a smash burger, but it’s perfectly cooked, juicy, and topped with their own special sauce that ties everything together beautifully. The fries? Absolutely spectacular—thick-cut, perfectly seasoned, and fried to crisp perfection with a lightly battered crunch. And no matter which dipping sauce you choose, you can’t go wrong. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Proudly Serving is a must-visit. Great food, great vibes, and a nostalgic atmosphere that makes for an all-around memorable experience. Highly recommend!

We went on a Sunday around noon and ordered - ï»żPastrami Burger - ï»żPS Burger - ï»żBrunch Burger - ï»żChill Burger - ï»żFries Pretty good experience overall, one little issue
there was a huge order spike from the online orders which caused a dramatic delay. The estimated wait was 25 minutes but we got our food around an hour and ten minutes of waiting. They provided free drinks during the wait. They also stopped online and in-person orders during that time to catch up. The food was all good but the PS Burger was absolutely amazing and the fries (this is for the basic fries, not the loaded fries) were one of the best I’ve had. I will absolutely return for those two items specifically. For the PS Burger, the smash patties had some good heft, they were not paper thin like some smash burger spots, the cheese was thick, the ratios were very solid. Seating is a bit of a challenge (first come, and very limited) and so is the parking. That shouldn’t stop you from trying this spot if you’re a smash burger fan.

Must say I loved this place the girls that work there are so nice like how we seat are selfs I don’t ever eat a full burger I might like to cut in 6 pieces and only eat one piece if that . But I can say I ate this whole burger no problem I loved how they where cooked the meat wasn’t so thick where my stomach hurt I loved the sauce I’m happy they ran out of ranch and gave me sauce instead because that sauce was amazing đŸ€© the fries where so good like I’m a frie lover I have never had fries that good my whole family ate there it wasn’t bad a family of 6 we spent 100.25$ I loved it even later that evening, because my family was fishing off the pier, My Son and I went to Baja Sharky to get a couple drinks and have appetizer. Their food was gross. I was actually telling my waitress about probably serving. She lives in Los Angeles, and never heard of it she actually asked me if I could give her the address. I showed her on my phone and I wrote down the address for her, she said she’s going to check it out. I was just telling her how good it was. I loved it. I wish we had one in Las Vegas now I have to wait to go back to eat there again a little sad when I woke up in the morning I wanted to go eat there , but I didn’t and I regret it instead, I ended up eating at the Grove and Santi and I regret that I feel disgusting serving food is great. The quality is great I never felt a moment of sickness. I have G.I. issues so like I said, for me to enjoy a whole hamburger even My Husband 💋 was surprised I ate a whole cheeseburger and I never would eat a cheeseburger that has two patties so I must say...

TERRIBLE SERVICE from the “manager” there today (Sunday June 23rd). She was about 5’7, short black hair with tattoos (important for the owners to know who was working).

My fiancĂ© and I have been here several times and it’s one of our favorite burger spots in town! Each time we’ve come before tonight has been a good experience. I say this because it was truly the manager tonight that will make me never come back here again.

We got to the restaurant at 6:20pm to get dinner with my parents. By 7:20pm my parents had finished eating and had to leave to head home. Meanwhile, we still had no food.

I went up to ask the manager for an update on our order in which she replied “I’ll go check on that for you”. 20 more minutes pass and nothing - no food and no news from the manager.

I go back inside and ask for another update for our order, this time from a busser. He says “oh that order never went through and we just got it in”.

We finally got our food 25 minutes after that conversation.

The fact that the manager didn’t have the respect to come tell us that our order never went through (which - how is that possible when the charge went through on my credit card? Seems like a fake excuse) gives Proudly Serving a bad look. We didn’t even get an apology

She spent more time socializing and drinking with the people at the bar than she did helping the patrons. This was some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced.

Well bring our money elsewhere for...
