Absolute nightmare! The review below accurately revealed many problems of this apartment. I was unaware that this property is owned by Decron Properties. Otherwise, I would never have rented it. Management of this property is indeed extremely slow to fix things - bath room fans make such loud noise that one can hear the fan 2 units away with doors closed; stoves, ovens and sinks with loose / missing knobs, toilet making noises, and bath tub with clogged drainage. Seriously, one time I was taking a shower and guess what, hair and other "stuff" was flowing back from the drain. It was absolutely disgusting.
Furthermore, the services and guarantees by management are at best mediocre. A neighbor of mine had a dog that barks every day from around 2PM to 6PM non-stop. It is extremely annoying and the problem persisted for over a month. Then another neighbor’s dog started barking from 5AM until I leave for work. I had an important express mail sent to me and I needed it the following day for work. It just happens that the staff needed to leave early that day so I am stuck without it. (I always wonder why are they allowed to detain my packages and I must be home at 6PM or earlier to pick up MY package?) It turned out the placed ONE SINGLE sign, saying the office will close early, on the gate of one of the SIX entrances. (So it must be that they throw a dice to decide which one to choose, maybe?) When I inquire about these general issues, some of the staffs don’t even let me finish my sentence.
Also, the floors seem to be extremely thin and according to the maintenance guy, it is “normal” to hear the people walking upstairs. At first I thought it was a rat that’s making loud noise (above 60 dB), but the maintenance guys insist that the vent section is too narrow for a rat to enter. He insists that this noise I hear is from the tenet upstairs. As a result, I asked the staff to check it out, and the response was: “the maintenance guy says it’s the tenet upstairs walking around.” Naturally, you would question why the people upstairs would walk around in the room from 7AM to 3AM (yes, almost the whole 24 hours) everyday. Sometimes the “pounding” noise is consistent and non-stop throughout the night and causes me to become sleep deprived for days. Yet management says “it is normal apartment living” and suggested that I put up with the noise.
Lastly, I feel that some (some, definitely not all) of the management staffs are racist. At first, I though the staffs just no longer care about the tenets after their 30-day trial period is over (meaning that they are stuck with the lease contract). However, I lately realized that’s not really the case. If a white guy/girl shows up in the office the same time as me, they’ll be greeted and helped before the staff even lays his/her eyes on me. Though later incidents can be retaliation to my complaints, things like this happened before I ever made any complains. A majority of the tenets in my unit is white and I do feel that they get a better treatment when they show up in the office. I understand that they are just employees of the property company so I always use my every effort to make them feel appreciated. Yet, despite my efforts, there is little improvement. My stay has been nothing but...

Obviously the location is wonderful, but that has nothing to do with the experience of dealing with the property management and leasing staff. Don't live here if you like hot showers or helpful property managers. From the initial leasing process (in which I had to email and call several times over several days to follow up on my application status, only to be constantly told that the leasing agents and managers were sick/out of town/or just downright unresponsive) to constant maintenance issues (no hot water for over 3 weeks and no help from prop manager). I've lived here for approx. 10 months and in that timeframe I've had hot water for about 75% of the time. The hot water heaters constantly break down, go unrepaired/unreplaced for weeks/months on end, and there is ZERO communication or response from the office. Marcus, who I believe is the MANAGER, doesn't reply to emails or return phone calls. I've asked for a solution in the interim while they wait to get the hot water heater repaired/replaced, such as putting me in a local hotel or giving me access to another unit, or even just moving my lease to a different unit altogether, to which I am constantly told I'll receive an update but have yet to (3 weeks and counting...) Ridiculous for the $2500/month I'm paying to live in a 500sf studio. Can't wait for my lease to end so I can find somewhere that cares about its residents.
Been living here for 6 months and honestly would not recommend based on the fact that the fire alarm goes off here randomly multiple times a day (& no one does anything to fix it for at least 30 mins each time). Lately the fire alarm goes off in the building before 8am, even on Sundays, certainly disturbing everyone’s sleep. Close proximity to the beach is wonderful but I’ll definitely be looking for a new place without the disturbance of fire alarms...
Read moreDon't listen to the (obviously fake,) vague, 5-star reviews! Office staff don't deal with any of the issues unless you physically talk to someone, and even then they usually tell you they'll send out an email to the community and nothing happens. I call the office the weasel hole, because half the time when you approach, they run inside while on their phone and hide from you (yes, even during active fire alarm situations). Fire alarms blare all night, there were multiple arson incidents (as in on purpose) while I lived here with no action from management. There was one office employee who tried his best and actually listened to my feedback during my last few months living here, but he wasn't able to do much for us sadly. Theft is also a massive problem, whether it's packages or items from the garage. The building is old and they are constantly doing construction on units, often without warning the tenants nearby, so if you work from home or like to relax on Saturdays- good luck! The walls are extremely thin, and if you’re below someone else: you can hear every movement. We had to deal with an upstairs neighbor who vacuumed for HOURS in the middle of the night (with no help from management once again). Animals run loose inside the complex, and bark all day and night. I even had a dog run into my apartment and the staff told me it was my job to take care of the animal until they found the owner...ridiculous!
If I could list every issue with this place, I would, but this review would probably be longer than your average PhD dissertation! Do not move here, you can find much newer, better-run homes than this place for a lesser price! I lived through two companies owning the complex, both were awful. Worst 13 months of my life, I'll...
