Sportsman's Warehouse is owned by the Great American outdoor group, which is also the parent company for Bass Pro Shops and. Cabela's. The signs outside stating best prices guaranteed are simply marketing hype typical of Great American Outdoor Group owned stores. That said, they have a great selection of stuff here. They have some awesome flannel sleeping bags rated to 0° and -35°. Manufacturers always overate their sleeping bags a bit, but these ones are both still good in cold weather and the price was pretty good all things considered. Most places these days only have the nylon style cold weather sleeping bags, which I don't like since you slide around in them. Cabela's and Bass Pro shops, despite being owned by the same group, have lower quality flannel sleeping bags then these ones. The ones there rip out at the zipper often, which isn't an issue with the ones from (at least yet). They also carry a large selection of boots and shoes, bigger than Cabela's in Tualatin. They carry Baffin Icefield boots, which may not seem like a big deal down in Oregon but if you head up in the northern Canada or Alaska in the winter you're definitely going to want these. And since they carry them in the store, you can try them on and make sure they fit before purchasing them. They have a pretty good selection of camping gear, as well as hunting gear and firearms. Overall it's a good selection of outdoor stuff, and the employees have always been pretty helpful every time I've gone in. Yes, the pricing higher than you might expect based on their advertising and marketing, but that's just kind of how it is with everything these days. Overall, I've had good experiences here and would have no issues going back.

I went here and purchased an optic for my pistol the buying experience was great and they installed it for me. I was asked multiple times to purchase the Warenty and I gave in and bought it. Today at the range I was shooting said pistol and a screw backed out and flew out of my gun. I couldn’t find it so I thought hey I bought that warranty. They pressured me so much to purchase it I should see if it’s covered. I called and was on hold for 20 minutes just to have the phone be answered by the most unhelpful customer service representative I’ve never experienced. I explained my issue and that it would be a thirty minute drive for me to get this fixed and he said he needs the gun to know if the screw needs replaced I told him he could look up the model I have and maybe let me know if he had the proper screw so I don’t waste my time driving down there and he let me know he’s not going to bother looking it up and that I just need to go down there I understand being busy and I understand pushing warranty’s. But for crying out loud I gave you guys almost 400$ could you at least act like you care when I call about a flaw in your craftsmanship that I paid for. I would have been okay with a explanation of why you can’t but just straight up refusing to help is unacceptable

They have a lot of everything for the outdoors man or woman. Extensive fishing supplies and live baits. Then we worked our way to the guns, yes they have them and had the Henry lever action I want but wrong caliber. Ammo selection is extensive. Then you work the the second half of the store where you find camping, cooking and water sports. They do have it all. Location is great for us in this area. Prices were acceptable and reasonable.

If i could give them negative stars i would. JEFF the manager is incapable of basic common sense. I visited sportsman warehouse today on 4/21. I had called ahead of time to confirm that i would be abld to make a return for 2 items that i wanted to EXCHANGE (not asking for money back) before taking the hour long trip each way. They confirmed that it would be fine. When i arrived i talked to a nice younger lady that got me and my gf info and scanned items and told us to go ahead and look in store and find what we would like to exchange for. So far so good. Me and my gf looked around for over 2 hours beforw deciding in the items we wanted to exchange for. Upon checkout we were greeted by the manager JEFF not rhe girl we first delt with. JEFF imidiatly without asking a single question or anything told us that he would not allow us to do the exchanhe/return. We tried to plead our case with gentlmen about how we even called in advance and had been told by the girl it woukd be fine amd spent over 2 hours in store. He said that he came over amd looked at the items after we arrived amd gave them to customer service amd said he told the girl he would nit approve the return but we had already started looking around so he wasnt able to let us know. HE HAD US LOOKING AROUND FOR OVER 2 HOURS WITHOUT EVEN TRYING TI FIND US AND LET US KNOW BEFORE WAISTING TIME WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY EASY. His reasoning was because the 2 items totaled $480 and wouldn't do ot withoit recipt even though in there return policy ot says itens without a receipt can be returned with valid id which we had ontop of that had been told by 2 differnt people it would be fine. WHAT MAKES THIS EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER SEEN is because the two items we were exchanging are kept locked behind the counter and can not be stolen so that right there basically shows you proof of purchase which isnt even necessary in thier policy. They wasted half our day for nothing didnt even try to let us know in the store that jeff said no. They could of even called us over intercom. Absolutly horrible at his job amd has 0 people/customer service skills on top of that he laughed at my gf and belottled her when she tried to talk to him about it and make her case, his mind was set and nothing would change it. He basically said that we were or could be thieves trying to cash out(his words) and these items are keot locked behind the counter have to be purchased at customer service they wont even hand you the item)this is infront of employees and customers. Nearly put my girl in tears we have never been so embarressed and disrespected ever. Amd we wermt trying to even get money jist exchange and mu gf and i have never even retuned anythung before in the past. I spend a lot of money at various sportsman warehouse because cabelas is to far they have lost a long time loyal customer id rather drive farther then be treated lile trash and disrespected and made fun of infront of people.JEFF owes my gf an apology and need to learn how to treat customers let alone people for that matter with a little respect instead of laughing in their face, insulting then, amd making accusations against paying customers( i was also going to make a purchase for 275$ right after the exchange, but after that didnt want to give them my buisness). My gf has been silent the whole way home she was so embarressed, jeff u may not realize this but you cant treat customers let alone people like that its not right! Oh lastly im a 4 year army combat vet, 101st airborn 11 bam bam(bravo). Hands down worst customer service and worst we have ever been treated in...

When you go into locate specific high-end Optics and I have after calling two times received assurances that they had one item in stock. I asked for them to hold it for me that I would be coming in. I got the name of the sales associate. By the way I actually gave them the stock number and they read it back to me. When I got in the person that was waiting on me in the Optics Department, more specifically Leopold, started telling me that they may not have the item, it may be as the show, it may have been sold. I said well it will be on your stock list. To his credit he brought me out for options but none of them or what I wanted or at the price quoted. I kept hearing, I'm sorry. Now I can see if I was on the phone and that he said I'm sorry sir we do not have this item. But to make two phone calls and come over only to fight nothing, well, that needs more than what I received. To say I was unhappy, well this is one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. I gave them the name of the person who quoted me the item and I heard nothing but crickets. I did speak to the day manager as the store manager was at the Sportsman's show at the expo. The manager gave me the name and number and said that the manager would be calling me. Well, that never happened. To the credit of the assisted store manager she did locate something online for me which is what I wanted but it was not at the price point. I also wanted to buy something directly from the store and not something like an optic which has been mailed to me with all the jostling this item may get. Generally at the 82nd Street store I have received much better customer service unfortunately the one at the Beaverton store at the Leopold store was what I would call substandard at the very least. Only one other experience I have other had was at a fisherman's Delta Park where the store nights manager was something akin to a donkey's tail section have I ever received such treatment. I spend a lot of money at these places but I'm going to have to pick and choose a little tighter on where I spent my money and where I make my returns LOL. One bad experience does not wreck everything but we live and die by our treatment of customers in the social media Marketplace. Whomever the fellow was who gave me the bad advice on the optic obviously needs a little...
