Made a appointment for my mom for her to get her hair done and last minute this Ulta called her to cancel. This was so frustrating I honestly want to give their salon dept a 1 star and the stylist a 4 star. They get a 3, because they made the effort to get her into the salon which I very much appreciated and holidays can be crazy. Her appointment was canceled due to an associate getting sick conveniently so close to Christmas (ā_ā). But they called multiple times to try to get her in. Once she was there she got a full color which she liked very much. She said the stylus was a little rough. My mom has thick curly hair & not a lot of hair stylist like to work with her texture, but she was happy with the result. Maybe get some stylists that can work with different textures and thickness because not everyone has straight hair or more training is needed because this probably wasn't the stylists fault but the lack of training. Then at checkout she was told she couldnāt use her birthday couponā¦.(breaths deeply) I worked at an Ulta so idk where this is coming from. My mother speaks mostly Spanish so from South Korea I was trying to help her so checkout would be easy and since my old Ulta had such a great salon and awesome customer service I was hoping this Ulta would be the same especially being in such a busy area. Was disappointed to hear otherwise. Get more staff, give more training, and remind associates that customer service is important. Covid has made it difficult to get everything back to normal, but itās a matter of supporting your staff with training and knowing that holidays are crazy so schedule accordingly. My mother works so hard and this was my little gift to pamper her, Iām not sure if Iāll want her to come back.
Also there was a stylist that spoke bad about the stylist working on my moms hair, wonāt drop any names but hope this reminds their salon team that they are a team and no matter what your feelings are towards one another it looks so unprofessional to talk bad to a customer about your peers. Everyone goes through different learning steps so keep...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI donāt like leaving bad reviews but Iāve genuinely cried more than once since my visit. I got a haircut yesterday at this salon and genuinely regret it so much. The stylist Tamara did almost no consultation. It was my first haircut in 5 years and my hair is very long, fine, and had a lot of dead ends at this point. I told the stylist straight up that I only wanted a trim and some styling because Iām very attached to the length, and she had me physically show her how much I was okay with cutting. She confirmed there would still be dead ends left, which made me think she understood me, because I would prefer dead ends to losing length. Then she proceeded to chop several inches higher than agreed to, removing all the dead ends and then some. This is genuinely the choppiest bluntest edged haircut Iāve ever had, with absolutely no blending, and I could have done something better with kitchen scissors. Beyond that, the left side is at least a full inch shorter than the other side and when I pointed that out, she told me I was wrong as if I didnāt have eyes (this is the first thing everyone has pointed out to me since so it is VERY noticeable). At that point I didnāt want to argue any further because I was about to cry in her chair so I paid and left, but when I sent pictures to my friends they immediately started offering to call other salons to have it fixed, like itās genuinely so bad my friends couldnāt even lie to me to let me feel better. I am leaving for a trip this next week and Iām genuinely embarrassed by how chopped and uneven this mess is, and as itās already significantly shorter than I wanted, Iām scared to even go get it fixed elsewhere. Iāve been wearing my hair in braids ever since to avoid looking at it. I will never be back. The stylist was very talkative and friendly, but beware of letting her touch your hair because this is exactly why I havenāt gotten my hair cut in so long. If I had wanted it to looked hacked, I would have saved myself the $50 and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm not one to post reviews online but I feel the need to say something about my bad experience. I bought a Physicians Formula tinted moisturizer at this location. I've been using the PF tinted moisturizer for a couple of years so when I bought the new tube, I didn't think TWICE about throwing away the receipt. 1 week later I opened the new tube and realized that the color was completely different from the norm. It appeared to be much lighter in color. When I took the tube back to this very location (where I purchased it 1 week prior) there was so much confusion behind the counter and one representative even said, "Oh, they must have changed their formula"... 5 minutes later, it was discovered that the two shades that PF carries had been "swapped" at the factory. There were still a couple of tubes on the shelf for us to compare. Sure enough, the lighter shade had the darker color in the tube (my shade) and the darker color had the lighter color. Even though the mistake was 100% obvious, the manager refused to exchange my item because I didn't have the original receipt!!! I couldn't believe what I was hearing... the customer service was HORRIBLE. I should say "customer NO service". The overriding lead team member and the manager were rude. They lost a loyal customer over a $11 item. I will never shop at another Ulta store again due to the lack of integrity. They obviously do not value their customers. Oh, and get this........they put the lighter labeled formula BACK ON THE SHELF that has the darker color in it. I said, "don't you need to contact PF about this error?!" and the rep said, "No, I'll just make sure the shades are correct next time....I do all the stocking...
