I usually really like this game stop, the staff is usually super friendly and a joy to talk to, been coming here for 5plus years now. I usually get insurance just to help out the cashier (not because I ever need it. ) I say this to inform you that my frustrations was with this worker at this experience and is not a normal thing, however the person with a large stature and orange hair really really did not like that I came in today while he was working on a project; he was placing a thing in small cellophane wrappers, I walked in and he asked if I needed help, I said yes that I just went online and said that you guys had a copy of "The last of us pt 1" for PS5, he said "yeah it be great if we did but we don't, online lied to you."... I then asked if he could check another location and if it is more reliable than online. He said in an annoyed tone "yeah one minute" I told him no problem take your time, you see I was looking for a few other games and a hard drive, I found the game but not the drive. He then says to check out two other locations. I continue to look cause I was gonna buy something from him to not waist his time, so I asked him about external hard drives and if they had any. "Yeah sometimes" he replied with annoyance again. So at this point I feel he wants me out of his store and wanted me out the moment I responded back to him asking about the game. I met him back with a snarky comment "let me guess not today" he said "no just depends which model and brand you want." At this point I'm flabbergasted by his lack of desire to sell me something. "I say the PS5 the system we were just talking about" shocked with him and where this was leading me, I see him slowly grabbing keys and sighing like he can't believe I am bothering him. I then said "no I'll just ask the people at the Barnes Rd store", he finally confusingly said "ok" and I left. He was confused on why I wasn't gonna give this sales man a sale?

Read moreWhile I usually love Gamestop, with all the great deals and games available, I do not recommend going to the Gamestop on Evergreen Parkway. Every other Gamestop that I have been to has had really good customer service and informed, helpful employees but every time I have gone into the Evergreen Parkway store I have left quite unhappy. On my son's 8th birthday I took him there to pick out a game for a gift, and one of the clerks (I believe his name is Kyle) began swearing and called my husband obscenities when he accidentally set off one of the alarms on a demo ipad, right in front of my young son. He was very rude and unprofessional, I was shocked and amazed that none of the other clerks even noticed (or cared)) the scene that the swearing employee had made. I refused to return to the store after that until this evening (months later) in a mad dash to finish Christmas shopping and was again greeted by the same rude employee. After about a minute of not really looking for the used game I wanted, he insisted that the only copy available of the game I wanted was a brand new copy that was more expensive. He was unfriendly, unapproachable, and I was quickly reminded why I drive the extra fifteen minutes to a different Gamestop several times a month. The clerks there are continuously rude and I do NOT recommend going there at all, but any other Gamestop is well worth a visit and the extra drive just to...
Read moreHad bought Pokémon expansion pack for Scarlet and Violet from this store for kid. Salesperson had told me and kid wasn't a difference for expansion packet and if bought one you unlocked both. Found out that was not true and ended up going to different store where Salesperson knew what they were doing and explained expansion packs did need to be bought separately.//Summer 2023
Next and more complaints. Had pre-ordered a game(Avatar) from here and was never contacted when it was released. I waited a few days just incase store was delayed by late delivery before calling to check. When I called I was put on a 20 minute hold then told game did come in but they sold out fast and had to wait for another shipment. I pre-ordered game months in advance so asked why I never got contacted like normal. Response gotten was just they hold games for 48hrs and then people can order it from online. I did callback later to see if game was still there as I cannot drive due to recent surgery and needed wife to pick-up the game. Sounded like same salesperson from before answered phone and if could put me on hold where I replied, no. Salesperson then puts me on hold for a few minutes. My question was if they had sold game yet or still holding, luckily it was still there.
I have one last game left here on pre-order and will do my best not to shop here due to...
