Biryani was okish. Service is bad.
We were very excited to go to this place for it's biryani, the week it opened. We were let down.
Service: The waitress has zero experience. She took our orders on her iPad. After a while she came back to take orders again because she deleted our original orders. She showed a lot attitude when we asked about food in their menu and spice levels, she probably had no idea, which is ok but she could have told us nicely. She then messed up our orders, by then we lost all our excitement.
Food: There was too much rice in the Biryani with very small portion of meat. We ordered chicken, lamb, fish, mutton and vegetable. Of all, only the vegetable biriyani was good.
A lot of people were unhappy, we witnessed families walking out of the restaurant because of no service.
Most bad reviews might have been posted on 'PDXbawarchi' before Google maps updated this location to 'Hyderabad House Biryani' (attached screenshot)
To owners: Instead of big screen TV with music and lyrics on it, please display menu, it's of better use to the customers. I have seen people walking to it for menu.
Train your waiters.
Have a dress code for your waiters.
Have a suggestion box, it would help you improve instead of getting rated down in online reviews.
Update Dec 18, 2018: Increasing to 3 star. Good to know that the owners are constructive to criticism.
We visited second to last week of October. I understand it might have improved since then, I will update this review after giving another try at your...
Read moreUnfortunately, I had one of the worst experiences with biryani at Hyderabad Hub. First off, they don’t allow dine-in if you only order a small-sized biryani; they insist you order the regular size, which was really disappointing. Another letdown was that the pulav, which is on the menu, wasn’t available after 6:30pm. The service was nice, though communication in English was a bit of a challenge, and the interior of the restaurant was very simple.
We tried Chicken Biryani, Korma Biryani, Egg Biryani, and Kofta Biryani. Among these, the Chicken Biryani was the good, with a decent amount of chicken, but it still lacked the rich masala and gravy you’d expect. The Egg Biryani had enough gravy and eggs, but overall, the flavor was still underwhelming.
The biggest disappointment was the Korma Biryani. It was cold gravy, lacked spice, and the korma was made with frozen mixed vegetables, which felt like a shortcut, completely missing the essence of authentic korma. The Kofta Biryani was also a letdown—sweet, without any real gravy, and had a dull taste. We never finished any of the dishes and havd to leave and have dinner elsewhere.
I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially if you’re looking for an authentic, flavorful...
Read moreGot dinner with my husband here a month or so ago and we still think back on how laughably bad the experience was. The food was mediocre, on par or a little worse than other Indian places I have tried in the area. The real problem was they were seemingly extremely understaffed and were not turning down online orders. There was a line of about 10 irate people who had been waiting for their food for around an hour by the time we got our food. While we were waiting for our food one woman started yelling and banging on the walls about being late and needing to get her food asap. Finally after an hour we had our food but no utensils or water. The staff was extremely slammed trying to deal with the dine out orders so we just ate our entrees by dipping naan and using that as a utensil. We had to take napkins from another table. It was a very tense dining experience because so many hangry people were in the restaurant. I will never be going here again for dine in or dine out. They need to turn down online orders if they can't...
