Shady billing practices. They will CHARGE your card on-file WITHOUT YOUR APPROVAL, you have to contact them and tell them you don't approve. On top of this their BILLING and INSURANCE people are LAZY and/or INCOMPETENT. Almost all the good reviews are from first-time customers that haven't had a chance to experience a billing error and to realize that Eno River Dental considers them a paycheck, not a person. In the three or so years my wife and I have been going there we have had multiple billing issues. In the latest, we recently switched insurance carriers, so both my wife and myself called before my next appointment to make sure they take our new insurance. They assured us they would let us know if there would be a significant charge, as it was only a maintenance visit, but a week later we got a bill for a large potion of the cost because it turns out they are out of network for our new insurance. Had they actually contacted the insurance company they surely would have found this out, but they either lied about contacting the insurance company or decided they wanted to be able to charge us for one last visit before we switched to a dentist that is in-network. They tried to tell me over the phone that what they tell you ahead of time is "only an estimate," but not being in-network is a big difference than being a little off on an estimate. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing, the doctors and staff are down-to-earth and easy to talk to and they take care of you from the moment you walk in.
Once there Brittany greeted me by name and offered hot and cold beverages to sip on while I checked in. In the chair Cheyenne provided pillows for my neck and legs turned on Netflix for me to watch, and we both got excited trying out a new orange creamsicle flavor polish! Sharon (Dr. Lau) took the time to explain where I was with oral care, what I might need and also gave me different options on how to proceed, all with no judgment and no pressure - what a refreshing experience.
Other things Eno River Dental did well were: Easy online booking and online forms Convenient location right off I-85 and plenty of parking Temperature and blood oxygen level checked immediately upon entering Membership plan and discounts available All dental offices should look and feel this nice
Again, you can really tell that the staff here has put a great deal of attention and effort into exceeding your expectations. There are a couple more things they do to make your visit special, but I won't spoil the surprise. Check them out for yourself and you'll see what I mean.

Unfortunately, my experience with the clinical team did not reflect the same level of care. My teeth didn’t feel thoroughly cleaned after the hygienist finished working. It left me questioning the quality and completeness of the care provided.
The appointment included Panorex and bite-wing X-rays, as well as photos, but it wasn’t clear how these contributed to my diagnosis or treatment plan. I couldn’t shake the feeling that some of these procedures might have been more about billing than clinical necessity.
The dentist never introduced herself, so I left not knowing which provider I saw. Her manner felt impersonal and abrupt—jumping straight into treatment recommendations for small cavities that had never been mentioned by my previous dentist of many years. There was no effort to build trust or explain the rationale for these suggestions, and my visible discomfort went unnoticed.
