RUN FAR AWAY FROM FARMERS HOME FURNITURE…MILITARY FAMILIES BEWARE

If I could rate them 0 I would!!! Let me be blunt Farmers Home Furniture is one of the most dishonest, predatory, and dysfunctional companies I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. If you’re considering buying from them, DON’T. Especially if you’re military. They will take advantage of you every step of the way.

They advertise themselves as “military-friendly” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. What they really are is military-targeting. The interest rates and taxes are outrageous, and they drag out your payment plan in a way that feels like a trap.

We financed a basic furniture set and somehow ended up paying on it for over FIVE YEARS. Meanwhile, we moved duty stations, got new furniture from Ashley’s, and paid that off in a fraction of the time. That alone should tell you how crooked this company is.

When they set up our delivery, they said they could not bring it inside due to COVID policies. However, the delivery crew told us they would bring it in if we paid them a tip. This is completely unprofessional and unethical.

Their customer service is nonexistent, unless you count harassment as customer service. They call nonstop, even reaching out to your references harassing them. They’re rude, aggressive, and completely unwilling to help.

Want proof of what you’ve paid? Good luck. They refuse to send a full payment history, and even after we paid off the furniture in full, they reported it to the credit bureau without sending us a payoff letter or final statement. That’s not just unprofessional, it’s borderline fraudulent.

We were so done with their lies, fees, and games that we literally celebrated the day we made our last payment. I will NEVER buy from Farmers Home Furniture again, and I wouldn’t wish their business on my worst enemy.

If you’re stationed at Fort Stewart or any other military base, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this company. They are a scam wrapped in a storefront, and they should be blacklisted from every military installation in the country.

Save yourself the stress, the money, and the headache. Shop anywhere else. They don’t deserve your business, your trust, or your time. Heed...

I cannot express how thankful and happy I am with Farmers Home Furniture located in Hinesville, GA. I have been in that store NUMEROUS of times and have always had such a great experience. To be honest, I don’t like shopping at furniture stores because the sale reps can be a bit overbearing but not at Farmers. I have been doing business with Ms. Olivia and the only reason why I will not branch out to other furniture stores is because of how sweet Olivia is. Not only is she one of the sweetest people I have ever met in my life, she is knowledgeable, respectful, and down to earth. I have always felt so comfortable with her because I knew she was never being dishonest and she was so fun to work with. I have bought several items from this store and will continue to doing so. She is extremely patient with me always going back and forth on everything, never pushed me into anything and always made sure I was happy. Honestly, I will never shop at any other furniture store even if for some reason they don’t have something I am looking for, I will wait until they get a shipment in. Even through this pandemic, they made sure to have constant communication with me with the items that were on back order and never left me in the dark. I truly believe This company is LUCKY to have a sales rep like Olivia! I recommend so many people to not only shop at Farmers but to always go straight to Olivia if they want a without a doubt awesome experience!

We ordered a double mattress, box spring, and frame from this company. They arrived in a timely manner. Shortly after the set arrived, the box spring broke. We called them and they provided us with another one. Several months later the second box spring broke again in the same place -- right at the end of the frame, which is several inches shorter than the box spring. Since I paid $800 for the set, I called them to let them know it broke again. At this point in time, I was accused of letting my teenage grandsons jump on this bed. The manager of the store in Hinesville, GA said jumping on the bed the only way the box spring could have broken twice in the same place. They replaced the second broken box spring and told me they would not replace it again if it broke. I will never shop here again. I was treated like dirt. My grandchildren know better than to jump on any furniture. This was an unfounded, deeply insulting accusation. We are human beings, not animals. The manager at this store was disrespectful and rude. I will warn my friends not to shop at this location as well since they have no respect for their customers. The quality of the mattress is good. The box spring was substandard, as evidenced by two of them breaking in the same place in less than 9 months. I will find another place to buy furniture...
