Server was great!! Seater girl was great! Food.... I got a Works omelette that had bacon and sausage links and ham and tomatoes and onions and mushrooms and two different types of cheeses. The omellette was good. Not sure what it was cooked in, usually butter. I got grits and toast as sides. The grits were yellow. I dont mind yellow grits but they didnt taste like grits. They had a garlic or onion taste to them which turned me immediately off. So while the waitress was standing right there after she served me, I went ahead and traded those in for the potatoes. Potatoes were better. The toast was, like so many other breakfast places, just barely brown enough to say that it was in the toaster. I don't understand why people want bread instead of toast. Toast should be toasted that makes it stiff-ish. I like mine burnt a little bit and it adds a crunch to it and it's just delicious that way. And they always give you like a thumbprints amount of jelly to put on your two pieces of toast. Why do they never give you enough jelly to do anything with. It's like they give you enpugh jelly just so they can say that they gave you jelly. So anyway overall it just reminded me of California food. Avocados gluten-free sugar-free natural Farm Fresh cage free eggs from cage-free chickens. Yet they use butter in excess. I was going to sit at the bar because it was just me and I didn't want to take up a whole table or booth but the wicker chairs kind of sink down where you sit and the metal frame bar that goes underneath the front of the chair where your thighs rest is very hard for your legs to rest on so I had to move to a table. I guess the owners never set in the stupid chairs. Why would you buy something without even trying to get out first. "Oh those look nice because they go with the mild mild mild natural olive green and light brown aesthetic." You need to sit in those chairs at your bar. They're awful!!! Overall I give it a score of ... Ech? Nah. I'll leave this place for the nuveau riche California crowd and the New York boho set, it's not for southerners or real...
Read moreI originally had 4 stars..my first experience with my husband was beyond flawless. The food..service...ambiance..but I have since been back a total of 3 more times. Each time there was noticeable demerits. It all had to do with timing...also noticed the silverware and glass cups became a bit more less clean. Naturally, everyone wants to eat here because this is a small town and the infrastructure is growing. But this last experience was the final straw.... We spent 2 hours at this place for some breakfast that I will definitely make at home from here on out. We brought our children this time...but it was far worst the most egregious experience. Our small kids ended up being so hungry they fell asleep. The food came finally and items were missing...I'm just needing people to hire enough servers. The servers...although nice...are very slow to respond and probably overworked already. There was one visit where there was a server who admitted to being scatter brained stating a relative was bringing coffee so this person could wake up..even in this experience service left us like 👀. I ended up telling her that I hope her day gets better despite the fact I paid and tipped for very slow service and scatter brained service..for instance, on this visit we were not provided silverware to eat..and she took so long to return my husband had to get up and go get our own from the prepared ones at the entrance. So..at a surpringly rapid...
Read moreYesterday, I visited this place with my family. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and even though the restaurant looked very busy, they seated us immediately.
Our waitress was quick to come over to take our drink order, and at the same time, the order for my five-year-old's breakfast. A few minutes later, we put in the rest of our food order for the adults (2 Trifectas & 1 sandwich).
We then waited 27 minutes just for my son's breakfast, which we had ordered right away with our drinks. The other three meals took a full hour and 20 minutes to arrive. We watched as people who came in and ordered after us were already getting their food. We were super nice and tried to be understanding. And honestly, once the food finally arrived, everything was delicious.
My biggest concern is the management of the place. If a restaurant is short-staffed, they should know the total number of tables they can actually handle. They should, at the very least, close one or two sections and inform incoming customers that to ensure an excellent experience and great service, there will be an 'X' amount of time wait to be seated due to being short-staffed. This way, you not only help your staff but also guarantee better service, and the restaurant loses less money by having to give out discounts or free items to mitigate...
