Outstanding group of individuals, I’ve had the pleasure of being assisted by everyone in this location throughout my many visits. I decided very last minute to get an eye exam and search for some new frames. I arrived at the Hinesville location about 45-30 mins prior to closing. Unlike most businesses I wasn’t greeted with attitude or ugly looks. Joi assisted me almost immediately. I was able to fill out some form and do the fist part of my exam with 10-15mins. The virtual exam thing was a little weird but I was fortunately able to get that done as well. Both Joi and Jam were very patient with me while I browsed for the frames I wanted. They both gave their input on which ones for my face and worked best for me. Like I said it was very close to closing so you don’t usually get treated so well when you’re taking your time as a business is trying to end their day. When it was time to pick up my frames Jared was able to assist me with my order pick up, he was very polite by that time I forgot the extra things I added on to my lenses, he kindly went over it all with me As I was leaving I smudged the lens, however Jared was busy with another customer. I was just going to go home and clean them, but Shelby stepped in stopped whatever she was working on and offered to clean them for me. Very appreciative of this entire team, they did a wonderful job picking this staff. It’s almost hard to believe anybody had a terrible experience with customer service. Prices maybe, but they also have some cheaper affordable options as well. You can’t make everyone happy I guess.

Avoid at all costs. JAM the manager is extremely unprofessional and rude! We brought the entire family there for glasses and they were really helpful initially however once my glasses came in with a defect (missed cut) an extra line on the right lens they acted like you are an inconvenience if you have an issue once they bill the insurance and get the co-payment. It took two weeks to get the remade pair of glasses and within 24 hours I had to return because the right lens is loose and creaky. Unfortunately you they have offshored customer service and it is extremely difficult to get through to the actual local store. Then when you go into the store the optician is always late even when you have an appointment. Unfortunately you are stuck with the commissioned sales people who don’t care. The manager JAM told me that she had to take care of the other customers first! The overall product quality is poor!!!!! Also, she upcharged me an additional $98 dollars for a higher level progressive lens then I needed because the standard progressive was covered by my vision plan!! They are a total ripoff!!!!

I was afraid Jen would run me off or be tired of me, instead she welcomed me with open arms and allowed me to pay the difference without a fuss. Thanks Jen you were great. I look forward to seeing you for my contact lenses exam. Thank you for your patience.

Place is nice and clean. Staff is friendly. I really don’t like that you don’t see an actual doctor. It is a virtual call when you’re in the room and it just doesn’t feel comfortable or personable. Jared was very nice & Understanding. The caucasian female employee was dressed a little sloppy compared to the rest of the employees. With her hair in a messy bun, leggings and uggs? At work? This place is expensive. I booked an appointment here because It stated on the website my insurance was accepted. Only for me to get there and realize i would have to pay out of pocket. Because of my VSP, but it says online they accept the vsp and then file a claim? I was told my astigmatism is gone. Which I just don’t believe. With me having to pay out of pocket for just the exam and to have my prescription, It cost me $124… Like wow!! Im not sure if it’s so costly due to this being a military town? With their great insurance there are still us others needing affordability. Jared was a bit pushy when i made the decision not to purchase contacts because the price would have been almost $300… I just wanted my prescription to order contacts else where, That was when he took my first prescription and came back with a second one?? He tried to push me to spend money… Lowest he got for my exam and 2 boxes of the cheapest contacts was $217… Which I just politely declined. Jared told me numerous prices to expect with just paying for the exam. $89 and then $147 then $124… I don’t know how long he has been there but he didn’t seem too sure on prices. All and all, I give it a 2 stars because of how clean the place is and how quick the visit was although it just didn’t feel like a normal eye exam with it being on zoom and you don’t get to really speak with the doctor. Disappointed. My wife suffered discrimination and racism treatment in the Hinesville location by an African American ( apparently the manager) lady and a white male. She was supposed to pick her prescription last week and everything went wrong. My wife told her that her prescription was not right. She couldn’t see anything. My wife, she doesn’t speak English very well and she was helped by her friend to try to make her understand the situation. The manager with a bad attitude told her that she needs to adapt to the new prescription. My wife is been using prescription lenses for years and that never happened to her. My wife insist the prescription was wrong and ask if she can had another revision so they can make her another pair. They said no and she had to pay again or wait until she get an appointment with a doctor in Savannah in a month. My wife doesn’t have a car and I’m currently deploy and I can’t help her right now. My wife ask if she can have the money back and they said no. My wife got upset. She start speaking Spanish in her frustration. The two employees (including the manager ) started dancing in front of my wife like making fun of her and kept talking in English. I know this is unites states and we speak English, but is not the right way to treat customers. Wherever you go no matter your nationality, you should be treated with respect and dignity. I’m mad because I can’t do anything about it. I hope someone see this comment and do an investigation. Probably they will delete it. Last thing, racism can happen to everyone no matter the color. Black to Hispanic, white to black, white to asian etc. Everyone should be more profesional and keep they believes inside when you are working. Have...

DO NOT…DO NOT….DO NOT go to Eyelab in Hinesville, Georgia. Please read all ONE STAR reviews before you become a victim of this horrible place because every one star reviews are true.. All the problems mentioned about this place, no matter how far One Star reviews go back, not one single problems have been corrected at the Hinesville store. You will also suffer the same problems. As long as you do not have a problem or problems, I guest you will be OK with this store. Once you have a problem, you will suffer the same viciously rude unprofessional attitudes from these staff lead by the manager, herself. I would not mind personally talk to this Eyelab franchise ower, but it does not work this way. You can only do review comments. Just like some of the comments, I was serviced by a staff who was THE MOST RUDEST person I ever seen. It seems like it was the Manager because this person did not want to tell me who she was. She rudely said I have no business to know who she was, and she directly told other staff not to address my questions or concerns. She told them she would be the only one who will talk to me. She addressed my concerns about my sonā€s broken frames by giving me a new printout of the receipt (as I asked for) and told me to leave the store as she gave back my son’s broken frame. I also read all of the ownerā€s replies to all One Star comments, they pretty much says the same thing every time. There were no comments about correcting any unprofessional behaviors.
