A spring day in Hudson County, NJ!🌼🏙️🍕 📌I recently spent the day in Jersey City/Hoboken and started with a delicious and nutritious lunch at Nûrish. @nurish_jc This local cafe offers a variety of healthy and tasty meal options such as salads, bowls, smoothies, and more! 📌From here, it is about a 5-minute drive to Liberty State Park in Jersey City. @libertystatepark This park is nestled along the Hudson River and offers beautiful views of the NYC skyline, Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. 📌I also recommend checking out the Liberty House restaurant which has a beautiful outdoor patio area! You can get dinner here or just check out the property. @libertyhousejc 📌There are so many great eateries in Jersey City, but I had a dinner with friends this night in Hoboken at an amazing restaurant called Apulia. @apuliahoboken Apulia is an authentic Italian eatery dishing up Neapolitan pizzas, mouth-watering pasta dishes, and more. Everything we ate was delicious and the service was very friendly!🍕🍝 Happy exploring, and don’t forget to follow me for more fun things to do in and around NJ and the Northeast!☺️ #njblogger #newjersey #nj #hudsoncountynj #hudsoncounty #northjersey #northjerseyeats #njeats #jerseycity #hoboken

was craving some really yummy wood oven baked pizza! this wasn’t it. price: overpriced in general based on what you get and what you taste. barely 4 leaves of basil on the whole pizza which is a personal sized pie and tastes like… nothing. $23 for basically a pizza that tastes bland and also you don’t even get the meat on it and they don’t let you substitute it. so what am i paying for? the flour? pizzas: we got two pies. one was the one with the spicy honey (didn’t taste it at all) and hazelnut. it was so bland. had to request salt so it could actually activate one of my taste buds. this was the one where it was expensive bc of the meat but im vegetarian so i asked to substitute it and the person who was helping us said no. i was like uh ok. yeah no, it was not good. not worth it. the other pie was the tomatoe and buffalo cheese one. this wasn’t as bad bc at least this had the flavor from the tomato. the buffalo is cheese was really good actually and had a unique taste to it. but the pizza as a whole wasn’t that cool. service: took so long to take our order. sever came took the order, then left and no one really spoke to us after that. but the pies came out fast. then we were just waiting for the check until we just asked someone else we saw for the check. paid and left. i felt there was no service at all to be honest. space: its a nice looking spot with indoor and outdoor seating. it was small bc everyone was pretty close together. not bad though. it was cute. was excited but not good. lacked flavor and salt. only thing carrying their score with me is the buffalo cheese. wouldn’t return so i wouldn’t recommend.

We had high hopes for Apulia but unfortunately was not up to par with other upper scale Italian spots in Hoboken. Food: was decent but not great. We had a gluten free pizza and gluten free pasta. The upcharge for the GF crust is $6 which felt absurd especially given the size and it was nothing special. The pizza came 15 min before the pasta so thankfully we were sharing. The bolognese was okay, but was a small portion and was not the best we have had. We would have loved some parmesan cheese but the waiter never offered (the tables next to us were…) Drinks: we assumed it was like most HBK places so we brought a bottle of wine, but opted for cocktails after informed of the $20 corkage. The cocktails were a nice treat. Service: this is where things were really off. Our server was not attentive - while we were having dinner another table sat down with a different server who told them about the specials, offered them Parmesan and fresh ground pepper, refilled their water, and actually came back to check if they needed anything. We did not know there were specials, were frequently out of water, and as aforementioned the dishes came out 15 min apart. The atmosphere is cute and they have a nice outdoor patio, but it was a very mediocre experience and we left still hungry. The main benefit is you can make a reservation which is often not offered in HBK.

We brought our family (3 adults and 1 child) to Apulia in Hoboken to celebrate our nanny’s birthday, and unfortunately the experience was a big disappointment — especially for the price. Our total came to nearly $200, which felt unreasonable given the food quality, portion sizes, and overall experience.

To be fair, service was mixed — one of our waiters was friendly and attentive, but the other came across as rude and impatient, which made the experience feel uncomfortable and inconsistent.

The food itself was just okay and the portions were small. Most of the entrées were simply pasta with sauce — no real protein, sides, or variety. For the price, it was underwhelming. Even the kids’ menu (which they do have) was disappointing — just plain spaghetti with tomato sauce, slightly undercooked, and still overpriced for what it was.

We also felt uncomfortable with the seating. Despite several open tables, we were placed in a dark, tight corner, which honestly made us wonder if it was because we had a child with us. It didn’t feel welcoming, and the atmosphere made it clear that families with young kids aren’t really welcome here. Parents — I’d definitely recommend going somewhere else.

To make things worse, there was no printed dessert menu with prices — the waiter just described the desserts verbally, and when the bill came, they turned out to be way overpriced. That felt misleading and unprofessional.

Overall, Apulia is not kid-friendly and doesn’t deliver good value for money. I understand that costs are rising everywhere, but $200 for three adults and one child — for small pasta portions, inconsistent service, and poor atmosphere — is simply too much. We left feeling disappointed and overcharged,...

We were a party of 5 and travelled from Ridgewood, New Jersey. Totally worth it! These people.... This place... Oh my dear JESUS... I think I ate for six... (Personally ate for 6)... My goodness, the food and the hospitality made me feel better than being at home. We had a lanky red headed server. Ryan. He was so invested and so empathetic... We LITERALLY told him to bring whatever is good. We started a big wooden tray of delish... Prosciutto and cheese and grapes... Yumzo... Then with some octopus 🐙 personally I am not a fan, but it was sooooooo good. A couple green salads (again not a fan, but the table gobbled them up...) Bring on the 🍕 pizza... We had 4 pies... A goat cheese honey pie, just order it like that... They will know what ur talking about... Jaw dropping delish... Such a safari for ur taste buds... U will believe me when u eat it... A diablo sauced stunner and a marina "total simplicity offering"... The pasta was sooooooo perfect. The texture and the al dente firmness... Woe... The gelato was spot on also... We r food snobs so I must say, it was simple utter perfection... One of our lunch guests has travelled to over 80 countries and gave a 2 thumbs up... (Even worth the parking ticket, he told us). There is simply one downside... Parking is pretty AWFUL... APULIA & it's people are a GOD SEND! Thank you for enduring this covid-19 craziness and all the best to ur...
