This is actually the most consistently EMBARRASSING, DISGUSTING and HORRIBLE Chipotle I've ever been to, for years now.
The place is oftentimes a pigsty, littered with food crumbs, trash, leaking fluids on the floor/counters, etc. The poor sanitation is easily the most concerning and disappointing aspect of this location. Even behind the counter, you will find food everywhere mixing where it shouldn't, stale and old food, visibly browning/rotting food, improperly cooled/heated food, etc.
Recently, while waiting in line, I noticed a worker preparing food move away and begin to touch random boxes on the ground before disappearing into the back. They then started to bring more boxes from the back. They then opened and removed food from the boxes before beginning to touch, serve, and handle the food that the customers were eating right in front of them, all without changing gloves a single time. Since then, I've literally gotten week-long food poisoning from that visit, making it multiple times in the past 6 months now that I got sick from this place.
Like look, I understand being swarmed with customers while running out of food to serve can be tough, but you seriously shouldn't forgo basic sanitary measures all because you are afraid of taking even a moment to stop, collect yourself, and make sure you are using clean gear, etc.
A random, unsuspecting patron paying MONEY shouldn't have to suffer all because someone fails to do their job or even show any attempt to do it properly.
The service is consistently awful; most of the workers appear incredibly annoyed and apathetic about being there and having to "help" customers. I've had snide, rude remarks thrown my way by staff and have even gotten into arguments with some of them in the past. I think one of the worst instances I saw was when someone walked up and asked for help with a mobile order; two of the younger workers, both annoyed, begrudgingly barely helped, only to then start talking trash about the customer as they were walking away.
They are also very inconsistent with portions; you might get lucky sometimes, but usually it feels like you need to come in mentally prepared to argue with the staff about what amount of food seems fair for a $13 fast food meal. Much like those videos you see on TikTok, I've actually had to walk out on them while they were making my order, sometimes more than once in a single day because they just couldn't do their job right and without attitude the first time.
One of my worst experiences with this issue by far was when I asked for a little more steak after being given barely any, only for the employee to quite literally try their hardest to scoop up and extract a SINGULAR tiny piece of shriveled steak from the bunch and carefully drop it on my burrito. Watching him, you'd think he was a scientist trying to carefully extract a tiny piece of radioactive material from a steel container. I really couldn't tell if he was joking around or not until he came up with an excuse about how he'd be "in trouble" if he gave any more than that. It also didn't help that there was a line of people behind me waiting patiently for things to actually be done properly and efficiently.
In summation, eat elsewhere. If you are thinking to yourself, "Maybe it will be good this time," it won't. Unfortunately, you might have to drive 25-30+ minutes in any other direction to find another Chipotle. This location might as well take its "CHIPOTLE FOOD SAFETY SEVEN" rules and print them out on toilet paper rolls since the management and staff practically wipe their * with them rather than trying to uphold them.
I know this review will ultimately fall on deaf ears, but here are two considerations for you, Chipotle Corporate. Either A. Close this location, restructure, and open under new management and with a new staff, or B. Close your doors and leave for good, since honestly all it might take is a visit from a health inspector for option B to...
Read more*8/03/24 Food was just ok. Guacamole has changed it seems it’s not the guacamole chipotle had always made. This batch or this location ? Guacamole was too spicy , it had a lot of cilantro and onions in it and a lot of lime more of these ingredients than what I’ve ever know Chipotle’s recipe The chips were tasteless no salt no lime just chewy not appealing . Restaurant was very dirty trash over flowing. Fajita vegetables were cooked beautifully cut sizes beautifully executed. Chicken was very jerky like in texture, cut sizes seemed like it was ripped or shredded not cut and not consistent.
UPDATE 5/02/21 The GM at this location is careless and he was cutting up chicken and after he pretended to wash his hands prior to putting one glove on to assist on the line. The line was a mess and they were out of fajita vegetables and guacamole we had to stand and wait with the many others standing in line waiting. The customer service is nonexistent. A person in our party ordered online a burrito and a bowl was made instead. No sorry for that mistake.
The biggest reason we will not return is the grill looks as if it’s never cleaned properly . I would give zero stars if that was a rating... We are done with this chain. We aren’t happy to eat black chunks of old burnt meat and grill debris with our food.. The grill surface is pitch black. Looks like it’s never cleaned. Then I discovered burnt black grill crud in my chicken bowl. Good sized pieces of burnt black grill crud! Disgusting!! Also had a large lettuce core in my bowl too.... Grilled veggie cut sizes are inconsistent every time! There are huge chunks of green pepper in my bowl. Every time we have two people order in line the crew mixes up our bowls if we don’t keep track who had chicken or steak we have to pick through it to figure it out ourselves..Chipotle crew members should be instructed to mark the bowl when the order is placed so at check out it’s not a guessing game which is chicken bowl & which is a steak bowl. So annoying!
Online order customer beware: We’ve gone in to get our online order and someone has taken it on more than one occasion. They remake it sure , but it’s a hassle and a time wasting...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place because I've always enjoyed chipotle. However this location seems to be unable to make a consistent tasting batch of food. We've had over cooked, undercooked and over seasoned meat before. The last three times we went on various days of the week there were signs posted outside of the door that said "sorry we are closed. We are delayed for opening". This was a good hour and a half after their normal start time. Prior to that I went in one day after work when it was 4 o'clock and began to place my order when I noticed the the meat and rice was down to the bare minimum. I told them I could wait for a fresh batch of rice and meat. I was then told it wouldnt be ready for another 25 minutes. I was willing to overlook this since it was in between meal times. I had them start my bowls to go and then I got to the sides/toppings and realized all of those were empty. I thought they were getting ready to refill them so I didnt gripe about it. When they started asking what I wanted I told them we wanted mild salsa, cheese, sour cream and lettuce. I was then told "we are out of those." I then asked "well I can wait for them to be refilled." They proceeded to tell me they didnt have anything to refill the sides/toppings. And basically just offered me the queso sauce as the only topping they had. I then told them "had I known you didnt have more than half of the ingredients to build any of the meals I wouldnt have even started the order." There was no apology. No coupon or compensation of any kind for future orders. I have no idea what is up with the management here, but they cant seem to time out having things delivered to prep food or cooked in a timely manner to get it out when customers come in. I suspect this is why they have had more "closed" sign days recently. But at this point it's like why even stay...
