We recently camped here for 3 weeks, when we first arrived we quickly noticed the road in was not meant for big rigs (we have a class A), the road is narrow, so if someone is driving the other way you have to be careful. The park has a nice walking trail, but unfortunately our experience one day is why I am writing this review.
TY Park is part of a country park. Not too far from where the RV campgrouns is, there is a pavillion where people can have parties. One day, someone was having a party in one of the pavilions, with live music... very LOUD, DEEP BASS music. It started at noon. Around 2, I called the office to complain, as my husband and I both work from the RV and the music was so distracting it was preventing us from working (we had the windows shut and could still hear the music that was 100 yards away). I was told they would send a manager out, nothing changed and at 3 my husband call the office. Again, no change in volume. At 4 I called again, this time management came to the RV to see how loud the music was, they agreed it was too loud and went to talk to the people. they came back to tell me that instead of shutting down the party early, they would allow the party to end since they there told the party would be ending soon. 45 minutes later the party ended.
Management chose to allow them to keep playing as opposed to following their rule about loud music being disruptive to fellow patrons and shutting it down early. Almost 5 hours of nonstop deep base is torture.
Management didn't care that my husband and I had put up with the music for half the day. One employee even had the audacity to tell me that the party goers paid for the pavillion, to which I quickly replied, well I paid for a campsite. TY park doesn't care about their campers and they don't follow their own rules. So my advice...go...
Read moreT Y Park, is located in the city of Hollywood. Not far from I-95. This park is super large. Pavilions throughout the whole . That you can, reserve, for parties and special events, and private parties. They have a very large lake. This park has a lot of history, behind it. The Native Indians used to live here. As well as inquiring, at the information booth. At the entrance to the park. For parking. This is a great place, for a company, to hold a large, outside convention. Read moreThis is an overall park rating.
The park itself is nice, with many scenic areas and several trails, the paths wind around the park nicely.
The playground is clean and nicely shades for kids however all benches are directly in sun.
The Safety Town area needs repairs but is a nice pretend play area for the kids.
The exercise area is a plus and well shaded.
Castaway Island is the highlight of the park -the prices are fair, the waterpark is clean and well supervised, i felt safe being there alone with 2 kids. I was surprised that they didn't offer to sell towels on site - would be a great revenue generating source that could double as memorabilia for visits.
RV campground - the spaces are pull through, no proper shade nor privacy (there is a trail around the lake where passerbys can just freely peer into your camper) and the train tracks directly behind the rv site area is a nuisance especially at night when trying to sleep. There are 5g towers all over the park which I'm not a personal fan of. The laundry facility is in need of some TLC. What i did appreciate and love that seems to be unique to this particular campground are the trash and recycling cans at every other site and that they practically cleaned them out every other day!
I wouldn't stay here again as an RVer but would definitely come back for the Castaway Island Waterpark.
** my son scraped his knee while at park, i was able to use some of the beautiful Bidens alba (spanish needles) that are all over to stop his bleeding- the plant has natural styptic and...
