Anna Maria Island Adventures Boat Tours — Attraction in Holmes Beach

I booked an 0800 trip, showed up nobody there. I was told that I was rebooked on an 1100 trip because the 0800 didn’t meet the mimimim number of people and that the software did this automatically. Nobody gave me a call or text so I just waited the 3 hours. Gentleman I spoke to, Brian, had an attitude and consistently said “it wasn’t his fault, the software did this.” At one point he blamed me for booking the trip the night before after hours. I reminded him the site works 24/7 and so did his company’s willingness to take my money.

Fast forward to 1100, the captain texts everyone that he’s running 5-10 min late due to finishing another private client beforehand. He shows up 20’ late and we board a metal flat bottom boat with a central bench. Seating is tight, you’re elbow to elbow with the guest next to you in 90F heat. Captain drives us out to the middle of the bay, nobody catches any fish. Two people get nauseous from the heat and I mention that maybe we should try another spot. He drives us to about 500 yards off the dock where he’s going to drop us off and keeps us underneath a bridge for shade. In the entire trip nobody catches anything large enough to keep. Captain seemed disinterest, first mate was trying. After we docked they asked for tips.

I wouldn’t recommend this company. Not a well run operation, no fish, and customer service non existent.

Update: literally never told the salesman to shut up. Outright lie and characteristic of his attitude and approach. Again, where is responsibility taken for software that rebooks the client without telling them? Can’t recommend enough you find another outfit. This is a low...

This was the most unprofessional and worst boat tour I have ever been on. The captain “Sully” was 25 minutes late with no apology or explanation as to why he was late. The boat was also not what we expected. Judging by the pictures online and other reviews, we figured it would be a boat big enough to accommodate the six people we had in our group. We clearly communicated there would be six people on board before the day of the tour. The boat Sully showed up in was very dirty and only had four seats. He said one person could “sit on the trash can.” Nevertheless we made it work and crammed in. We were very polite to Sully and tried to enjoy the cruise. However at one point, a chain and anchor that was in a bucket fell from the side of the boat and almost hit one of our guests. He also took the boat into a seagrass area and got the boat stuck, at which time point he got out and pushed the boat back out into deeper water. The worst part during the cruise was that he smoked 3 cigarettes, two of which were while we were all on the boat. He never asked us if this was ok. Once we got back to the dock, we were relived to be done and got out and walked away. About 10 minutes later I got a text from Sully (attached) in which he said we wasted his time because we didn’t tip him. I’ve never had something so unprofessional happen. I booked a 9:30AM Dolphin Tour on 9-6-25. My confirmation immediately said that I was confirmed for the 11:00AM tour and the 9:30AM tour was cancelled for lack of passengers. We waited for the next tour at 11:00AM and a small fishing boat with no cover or bathroom showed up to take us out instead of the pontoon I payed for. The only reason I booked the tour was because of the pontoon boat that was advertised on their website. I was not notified there was a change in the boat and disappointed because this was not the boat pictured on the website that I payed for. I told the captain I wouldn't go because of that and called the office for a refund. The guy from the office argued with me and told me I would get no refund. This whole week I've been trying to work with them to get my money back and they offered to take me out this weekend and then "ghosted" me. No refund and no ride. These people are rude, unreliable and dishonest. Their company address is a PO Box at the UPS store. Make sure to get all details before booking with this company.
