Preparing for my friend's birthday celebration, we made a trip to Cheesecake Cutie in Holmes Beach FL. Aside from being located in a meticulously manicured shopping center, Cheesecake Cutie was easy to find, as it had a distinct blue and white striped awning over the storefront windows. Stepping inside, we were greeted by an elegant gallery of crafted treats, including cheesecakes, bon bons, and more.

Despite each item resembling a work of art, showcasing professional preparation, intricate decoration, and meticulous sculpting, everything was affordably priced. The interior offered inviting tables where patrons could indulge in their sweets & beverages, with a scenic and upscale vibe, enhancing the entire experience. The employees were friendly, and everything about this business was a step above average.

Our order included a variety of cheesecakes, original topped with real orchids (which are supposedly edible), caramel crowned with a chocolate pretzel on top, blueberry lemon, raspberry, chocolate, and the ever so popular keylime cheesecake.

While this might sound like an impressive order, many other flavors were available. I saw northern crumb, peanut butter, pumpkin, & apple pie, all which looked delicious.

Before departing, we couldn't resist indulging in a few buckeyes—as a quick snack for the journey back home. The peanut butter boasted a moist texture, encased in a crisp chocolate shell that satisfyingly snapped with each bite. I've many peanut butter desserts before, and when refrigerated the peanut butter can become grainy or dry, but that was not the case here.

At the birthday party I decided I would try the key lime cheesecake. The flavor was a nice blend of tartness and sweetness, with the real key lime slice elevating all the flavors. The cheesecake, with its thick consistency allowed it to be picked up and eaten by hand, and while not dense like authentic NY cheesecake, it was far from runny even after sitting at room temperature for a short while.

The Cheesecake Cutie & Cafe was a fabulous unplanned stop on our way to spend the day at Anna Maria island. A quick Google search for “local deli’s” led us to this darling cafe for lunch, and of course, Cheesecake. It’s a bit unassuming in its Anna Maria Islands strip mall location, but there’s a lot of homemade love behind the striped awnings and farmhouse styled bakery!

WAY more than a traditional sub shop, Cheesecake Cuties offers gourmet breakfasts, lunches, coffees and desserts. We ordered from the lunch menu and finished every single bite. The lunch offerings include sandwiches, salads, wraps and flatbreads with Vegan and Vegetarian friendly options!

I ordered a custom vegetarian sandwich which was served on a pretzel bun with lettuce, red onion, pickles, bell pepper and Mayo. The hubs ordered the shaved Chicken and Swiss on a pretzel bun with arugula and the teenager enjoyed the ham sub with arugula. They both picked the Key Lime Cheesecake for dessert that was simply divine.

Pros: I’m always down to support a small business - especially a female owned business! The wonderful breads, salads and desserts are made with love and served with gratitude. It’s location, close to the beach, makes it a wonderful option for lunch or a to-go meal for a picnic. Super cute interior and delicious Cheesecake!
