I’ve been coming here for over 9 years. A great place to get all the things you need around the house to keep it running smoothly. Very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently not too big, unlike the big box stores where you have to do a lot of walking and asking to find things. Centrally located on the island, coming here for a quick thing to pick up is so convenient instead of having to go to the mainland. A great selection of stainless steel hardware which you need on Anna Maria due to the coastal environment. LOVE LOVE the fastener collection in the back wall. I especially love that I can buy only ONE machine screw from their great selection of organized bins. If you need it in stainless steel, no problem, you’ll likely find it. You can get it in box quantities as well. Propane refills are quick and reasonable. They also stock a good amount of housewares and decorative stuff. Prices may be a bit of a premium over other places, but usually of good quality and saves you time to do the other things you want to do.

This is a friendly & helpful store. My negative review & feedback is in regards to their security approach, which always makes me uncomfortable & leaving the store before making any purchases. I live here on the island & own my own boat. I periodically come in for paint, parts & supplies. Since I use the trolly, I always bring my own cart that makes my shopping experience easier when visiting multiple stores. Every time I come into Ace with my cart, I am watched & followed HEAVILY by the employees. They indirectly investigate the contents every several minutes...very obvious! I understand the need to make sure no one is stealing, but this has deterred my desire for ever patronizing this ma & pa store. I think I'm going to stick to saving a few dollars & go to Lowe's going forward. I do not like to shop where I cannot focus on what I'm trying to buy, with the distraction of "big...

Do NOT rent bikes from here. Terrible experience. You’re better off buying from beach bums who delivers, comes with baskets, better locks and helmets for only $2 more per week and free delivery to you. We love riding bikes at the beach so we were really bummed about this service, it was a huge inconvenience to our vacation. One of our bikes got a flat tire toward the end of our rental and they didn’t even try to refund us for part of it. One of the helmets broke and another bike sounded like it was about to fall apart. They never asked us how our experience was and I was very disappointed in the service....
