We recently had the pleasure of dining at Los Chiludos Fresh Mexican Grill on Anna Maria Island, Florida, and it was an experience we won’t soon forget. This California-style Mexican restaurant, nestled in a charming beachy plaza, exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the cleanliness and welcoming ambiance. The atmosphere was casual and cozy, with trendy décor that perfectly complemented the beachy vibes of the island. The efficient service was amazing, making us feel right at home and well taken care of throughout our visit. We started our meal with the Chicken Quesadilla, which was absolutely delectable. The quesadilla was tasty, fresh, and delicious, served with a side of shredded lettuce, sour cream, and pico de gallo. The presentation was outstanding, with the dish arriving on a cute rectangular silver platter that added a touch of elegance to the casual dining experience. But the highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the chips and mango salsa. The freshly fried corn tortilla chips were the best we’ve ever had, perfectly crispy and golden. The mango salsa was a tantalizing blend of fresh ingredients, spiced with chipotle to give it a delightful kick. The flavors were off the charts, making it an unforgettable appetizer that we couldn’t get enough of. For drinks, my Bryan enjoyed a refreshing Jarrito, while I sipped on a cozy and trendy Calypso lemonade. Both beverages were the perfect complement to our meal, enhancing the overall dining experience. The outdoor seating was a lovely option, allowing us to enjoy the pleasant weather and soak in the island's relaxed atmosphere. Being just minutes from the beach, supermarket, and stores made it a convenient spot to grab a bite before or after exploring the area. A special mention must go to Tera, the owner, who made our visit even more enjoyable. She kept checking on us to ensure everything was to our satisfaction and struck up a nice conversation with us. Her good energy and genuine care for her customers were evident, making us feel valued and appreciated.
We truly are looking forward to our next visit to Los Chiludos Fresh Mexican Grill. It has quickly become our favorite Mexican restaurant, and we can't wait to enjoy more of their delicious food. Writing this review has me craving their incredible dishes all over again. If you’re on Anna Maria Island, do yourself a favor and visit Los Chiludos – you won’t be disappointed!
Our BEST Mexican restaurant ever. We love everything about it. 🌮❤️ From...
Read morePros: Very fresh food, home made chips. We had shrimp tacos and the shrimp were decent sized, no metallic aftertaste. Salsa verde was very good, not over-salted. Enchilada platter was also very good. Burritos are enough for two people, and very fresh - no frozen veggies in the vegetarian, for instance. Decent small selection of drinks and beers. Lovely people, family owned, a nice change from the mediocre "Mexican" restaurants we have in the area. Cons: In our lives we'd never heard of charging for chips when you ordered queso. In fact, charging for chips period, especially when it's $6.00 for just a small portion. Your $3 buys you a sizeable bag of chips, but I'd trade that for a smaller portion (say, 1/3 the size) that came with the food and queso. Tiny little plastic things of salsa are way too small for a meal. No N/A beer, which so many other places on Anna Maria are stocking (especially Mango Cart, delicious!). And, no ice machine. That's going to hurt in the summer. Suggestions: Why are they allowing the ice cream shop next door to have a big sandwich board in front of their restaurant, and why don't they have their own? This is a pretty walkable spot, so the board with specials on it would work well, we thought. And, as I keep beating on this dead horse, a locals discount for people who live full time on AMI would be good - license check the address and knock down 10%, because locals are here when everyone else has left! Conclusion: Worth the trip, good for kids, huge portions and good value. They haven't been open that long, so we'll go back for a third time. And really, really nice to see a family-owned restaurant open in...
Read moreHave been meaning to try this place all winter and finally got the opportunity to try this place for dinner (for 3) tonight. We ordered takeout of a steak burrito, a carnitas enchilada, one Al Pastor taco, one steak taco, and egg rolls. First, let me just say that the portions are VERY GENEROUS and the attitude of the staff here is just wonderful--they are extremely friendly and helpful 👍 We LOVED the beef burrito. Moist, tasty, and the meat was done juuuust right to stay tender. The tortilla stands out as the perfect texture and strength (it doesn't rip open). The corn tortillas for the tacos and enchiladas didn't travel well but that's just the way it is for some things. I'm sure they would be a lot better if we had eaten them at the restaurant. The fillings themselves were very tasty even though the beef was just a tad over done. The egg rolls were lovely and we all agreed that we would stop to get those for a snack anytime! YUM! Crispy on the outside, warm and gooey with melted cheese, corn, and spinach on the inside. Overall, we 3 agreed that we would definitely like to return to try other menu options sometime in the...
