Beautiful beach! The only issues we have with this beach are parking and bathrooms. The sand is perfect and the water so blue, it was decently busy for a Sunday but we were still able to get a nice spot by the water. They do not have a parking lot so you need to park on the street. We saw some other cars parked along the road but off to the side so we parked behind them. After returning to the car we received a parking ticket. $50 for 2 hours at the beach, this was disappointing. If you aren't going to supply parking at least get paid meters so people are able to pay to park at a reasonable rate. My second issue being the bathrooms... there are none. Me being 6 months pregnant found this incredibly frustrating. They have a few restaurants spread along the beach but I found it rude to only walk in for a bathroom break. It would be nice to at least supply porter-potties. We just moved to FL from NY so we appreciate any beach at this point and have been trying a new beach every weekend. I'm not sure if we will return to Anna Maria. OH and the TRAFFIC!! beware you will sit for 60 Min just to cross a 5 mile bridge. We got to the bridge at 11:20am and to the beach at 12:32....

Read moreAnna Maria Public Beach is an absolute gem on Florida’s Gulf Coast! This place is pure paradise—white powdery sand, crystal-clear turquoise water, and stunning sunsets that look like they were painted by hand. It’s the kind of beach that instantly puts you in vacation mode.
The vibe here is super chill and family-friendly. There’s plenty of space to spread out, whether you’re laying under an umbrella, building sandcastles, or just wading in the warm, calm waves. Parking was surprisingly easy (and free!), and there are clean restrooms and showers available, which made a huge difference.
What really stood out was how clean and well-kept the beach is—no trash, no seaweed overload, just beautiful, pristine shoreline. There’s also a cute little café right by the beach (Anna Maria Island Beach Café) with great food, cold drinks, and live music if you’re lucky. It’s the perfect spot to grab a bite and soak in the view.
Whether you’re into swimming, relaxing, shell hunting, or just enjoying the Florida sun, this beach has something for everyone. We’ll definitely be back again and again....
