I have to say that I was afraid to rent a car at the first since I always been renting cars with Turo but definitely this was a great experience starting with the easy reservation online and yes u don’t have to enter any card while u doing this Second thing was the beautiful Estefania she was so helpful really professional no words to describe how good and confident she make during the process this was our first time visiting Hawaii and definitely everything makes a beautiful experience even just to rent a car Third thing was another beautiful lady Paloma in my time to return the car she took care of me it was easy process she check the car and also she ask me if the car needs to be checked or if anything fails so they can take care with maintenance and this part I like it too because it says a lot about how much they care for the costumers they have good prices but also don’t forget u need to pay for insurance after the regular price I found it was a bit high but anyway for my next visit I know where to go Also take note that probably you go in one location and they may gonna send you to a different places to pick the car which is not far from another and is easy to find so give them a chance if you need to rent a car!!

Please note that you have to pick up your car the exact time of your reservation or else it will be canceled. This policy is not noted in their website or when you book the vehicle. When I first went in, Andrea was helping me. She said my reservation was canceled due to the late pick up and they are sold out for today. Shocked, I looked all over the website and read through the terms and condition, I was not able to locate the pickup time policy. I went back to asked them to point it out to me. That’s when Rey helped me. Rey was EXTREMELY helpful after I explained to her my situation. She was able to find another car for me matching the price that I booked the car for 2 weeks ago. She also took my advice to add a statement of that policy to the website in a very kind way. Saying she will forward my recommendation because many people who have only rented with Avis or Budget may not know. Tip: if you come across anything similar, ask to talk to Rey. She is amazing!!! First Rent a Car, please give her a promotion! Five star for Rey Two star for Andrea Zero star for unclear company policy Average to 2.3 stars

I used to heavily depend on review stars on Google, and it was my fault for forgetting to read the 1-star reviews first. I hope my comment can give people a realistic expectation and help them make the right decision. Below are the reasons why I deducted 4 points: - They don't accept credit cards or personal car insurance, and you have to buy additional insurance for $29 to $57 (which doesn't cover damage or theft even for the $57 option). This should have been mentioned when booking from their website. - If you book with the option to return the car with a full tank, you really don't expect them to give you a car that is only 3/4 full. Be sure to check and ask them immediately even after a long wait. - I wouldn't consider a bare-metal BMW X1 with no 360 view, no rear camera, no parking sensor, no GPS, and no other modern features a luxury car. - For the Waikiki Shopping Plaza Mall branch, they only have a desk at the mall, and you REALLY REALLY need to be patient to wait for someone to pull the car to the street and find a street parking spot on that busy street when returning.

Car was roach infested. Rented a car from them. I should’ve known it would be a nightmare when I saw the inside of the car, it was still dirty. I had to dig out trash when it was first handed over to me. As we are driving to our destination a roach crawls out of the dashboard. We were on the highway and had to stop to kill it. We decided to stop at a gas station and check the rest of the car…more roaches. All day roaches were crawling out of the car crevasses. I called the location multiple times to change out the car with no answer. When I turned the car in early and asked for a refund the attendant shrugged his shoulders and said he wasn’t authorized to give any form of refund. He (Chris) handed me a card and circled an email stating I needed to work through the email to get the situation resolved. He declined to give me a name of the manager for the location as well. Terrible product. Terrible customer service…unless you want roaches along with your excursion.

Pros: -Last minute car rentals available -Car drop off was quick (we returned the car at 8pm) Cons: -Waited one hour to pick up the car (arrived at 9:00am) -Pressured to purchase the $57 coverage. Our one day standard car cost $128. We knew the basic coverage insurance is mandatory at $29. When you get there, they will try to convince you to pay for the ultimate protection package at $57. He said there's a 10% chance of issues and it could be from surf boards, car accidents, etc. When we declined, he said you could be charged up to $1000 deductible with the basic coverage. When you pick up the car in the driveway, the driver grumbles because you have basic coverage and they'll need to take a video of the car. When we returned the car, the guy said there's scratches and looked through the video to see if it was indeed already there. Their video showed scratches and so does our video. Make sure you take a video of the car and lots of pictures.

Aloha, Surprisingly I was able to rent a car online for 3 days. The major rental companies did not have any cars available without a prior reservation. The website doesn't have pictures of the cars available. I requested a compact car so I was thinking It'll be a Toyota Corolla or something similar. The rep pulls up in BMW 328i! I told him, I didn't want to be responsible for a BMW,, even if it's an older model. He said that's all they have and it's the same price! Btw, insurance is Mandatory! Anyway, finding this place was confusing. I didn't realize they're located in the Waikiki Resort Hotel. Returning the car was a breeze! Jon was the rep helping me. He was more helpful and friendlier than the young person who was sitting @ the counter when I picked up the car. She look like she didn't want to be there! No smile or any type of customer service skills. Anyway, I'll definitely rent here again! A HUI HOU 🤙
