Pearls Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Honolulu

Haven't been to this restaurant for almost 7 years due to my family moving to the mainland. I finally came back & the 1st place I wanted to eat at was Pearls which was my favorite place to eat before leaving. It hasn't changed, food still tasted good. They still give a good amount on the plate. The only thing they need to do is make more of the Potato salad. They ran out 2 hours before closing. I was lucky to get the last of it. I'm pretty sure if I was 1 or 2 people later, I wouldn't have got any. Regardless, Whenever I go back to Hawaii, I will always make it a point...

For the second time in 2023, I had to wait almost an hour for my food - and this time, it was not what I had requested. The counter person specifically said my order will be ready about 10 minutes but when I came back in 30 minutes, it appears they had not even prepared it and I had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Unfortunately, to my dissatisfaction, my order of bi bim bap with no choi sum but substitute seaweed was not honored and I got their standard plate slapped together. It looks like I will NEVER patronize this...

They took my order wrong. Instead of apologising she told me I should have known coz they have asked me to put many side veggies I said I don't know coz it's my first time she replied saying I was wasting the veggies I said it wasn't my fault she took the wrong order... she shouted at her staff to change the order and to remove the veggies and talking to me in the rude tone.
