Whatever it may or may not have been in the past, it isn't now (unless there's more to the park elsewhere, but at the very least that was not at all clear as we drove around searching the area—hopefully I missed some hidden part of it?). The grass died long ago, there is no play structure or tire swing, no view of the ocean, and no trails to speak of (that I was able to find). That being said, it is absolutely peaceful. It's on a less busy street so there's not much traffic noise. There's a great shade tree and several benches around. If you're looking for a place to do stuff, this is more likely not the park for you. If you're just looking for a spot to get away or to write or read or just sit and meditate, this is a good spot for you. Normally I prefer to take my kids to parks with swings or play structures. If you have kids and that's what you're looking for, go elsewhere. Since we were there anyway, it was a great chance to show my kids that you can actually have a really good time with just your imagination and you don't actually need playgrounds, smartphones or much else to have...
