Breakin' The Code — Attraction in Houma

I’m literally obsessed with escape rooms because of this place! My kids know if they want to get out the house suggest breakin the code and I’m ready! I normally ask about the rooms before I choose one because after going a few times I know what I like and they always make great suggestions! I have met the owners once in there and they where a very sweet couple who you can tell are eager to please and actually enjoy the puzzles and design, very passionate about their work . I have realized as time goes on the puzzles and rooms get bigger and better! I am a hairstylist in New Orleans and constantly tell my clients to try this place out! I refuse to go anywhere else seriously because I feel any other place wouldn’t live up to my expectations after these rooms! Also I would like to thank the owners and employees for allowing my autistic son to be apart of our escapes and allowing him to make himself comfortable, he mostly sits on one of their props and plays his tablet which isn’t usually allowed but it calms him. Today (Mother’s Day) I of course chose to come here and my autistic son had a meltdown and screamed over the girl telling the story at the beginning and she handled it so well, I was impressed. By the end he was having a blast, today we did mineshaft and I thought the bank heist was my favorite but this one is just as good! Also the employee today was so far also my favorite! we’ve been here a few times and it was great but this last time was different.

we were “stuck” the first 15 minutes but all because the first step of the room was not in order or not how it was supposed to be. we had wasted time and a hint on one of their mess up.

furthermore there was another part of the room where the “do not” instructions were unclear which also costed us a few minutes.

we left the room undone which was super downing and which basically cancels that room out for us, so it would have been nice to actually finish it because who wants to do a room (and pay for a room) more than once.

the only last small thing, was the point of having a military discount, saying it’s so “small what’s the point”, and then not applying it. i’d rather you tell me they don’t have it, than me ask and not apply it.

Had a pretty good time at this escape room, playing two games. The theming was a bit on the minimal side for both, but the 'Auction' game was the better one with some really fun puzzles. There was a bit of a hiccup though – the final reveal was in an unlocked bag, and we accidentally opened it too early. 'Killer Instincts', the other game, wasn't as enjoyable. The puzzles felt a bit far-fetched and didn't quite hit the mark for us. The saving grace was the pricing – super reasonable. Plus, all rooms are private, which is a big plus.
