Dow Elementary Park — Attraction in Houston

Local and convenient place for the kids to play, has a water fountain, full court basketball pick up games, but in general not maintained. Old mulch, littered with dog (hopefully Just dog....) excrement, very poorly lit, playground equipment is worn and rusty, lots of fire ant mounds. We love this park! Great area for kids of all ages to play on, fully fenced in, water fountains, coveted seating areas, basketball court. Quiet, clean. Restrooms are available to park users when the building is open and staffed (not sure on the hours of the building). Can be rented out for...

The picnic tables are reasonably clean, the grass is kept mowed. Watch out for ants though, when you sit at the picnic tables. Usually deserted during the week at lunch time. We like it. There is a playground, too. Also grills, trash bin and...
