I moved in the galleria parc on July 30 23 and in my opinion my apartment was not ready. I had old rusted sinks, the lining of the shower was filthy. I had a draw that was broken in my master bath; so from day one I was doing maintenance request. I'm not sure if Management even did a final walk thru... but my biggest issue is my second bedroom has a foul urine smell. I have reported it to the office and they finally got new carpet and padding. That didn't help so they had me to put an air purification machine in the for a couple day. That just over powered the smell but eventually it came back; I've reporter it again and nothing has been done about it. I feel at this point its going to be swept under the rug and I pay extremely to much money to live here. So, be mindful and do a walk through of the apartment when its complete before you actually sign the lease. Update: The smell finally got resolved after days and hours of spraying and doing what I think would help.. My furniture from my second bedroom was sitting in my livingroom and kitchen for 3 weeks so I couldn't utilize my second bedroom and parts of my kitchen and livingroom. I asked the manager will they take something off my rent because of that and I was told that they had reached out to upper management but of course I never gotten a response back on that. I've been paying full price with no type of adjustments. I say once again DO YOUR RESEARCH..... Update: I keep forgetting to give Ernestine her flowers. She is freaking awesome. Ernestine communication skills are awesome; if she say she's going to call you back or do anything she will do just that. When Ernestine is working you know it because she always answering the phones in the office. I've been calling the office and no answer or call back. 2/27/25 My air has been out for 2 days and I’ve put in a work order and I also talked to the office personnel and I was told that my air would be fixed or I would receive a portable a/c. I asked before I got off the phone to confirm that it was going to get done and it was confirmed. It’s 7:23 and we still haven’t received no air and no one has said anything. 6/17/25 I finally moved out of the galleria PARC and I clean my apartment way better than it was when I moved in. I was charged $100 for my blinds “ not being clean” I sent pictures to Dania and she stated that she really couldn’t tell. I asked for pictures in return and she told me that they were not obligated to send pictures. It’s crazy because why would I clean the entire apartment and not the blinds knowing I would get charged $20 per blind for them not being cleaned. The blinds are super old so with them being cleaned you can’t tell a difference. Do not move to this property because they are going to overcharge you and you will never see any of your money come back into the property. All of the appliances are old and out dated and if you want new appliances they are going to charge you extra money every month for the updated appliances. The hallways will always flood and you will have to go a different way to get to your apartment. The hallways floors are disgusting and the walls are even more depressing. The floors in the apartment was not even they had all kinds of soft spots in the floor and the apartment has so many issues. Ooooh you might get your filters change maybe 2 times a year. Dania will pretend to be the sweetest ever but she don’t care about anything that goes on there unless you make an issue. She will blame everyone is except her poor management. If you think I’m lying just drive pass or catch the apartment from the chimney rock exit 59 south it looks a mess. They have window screens just hanging from the windows. The apartment need to be painted as well as the walls and floor. They say it luxury but not giving it at all. The windows will have mold build up and you will keep all kind of bugs and insects in your apartment. The washer and dryer that I was give had ink stains in it and the washer tore up my comforter set and other small clothing. Ya just go live comfortable...
Read moreSAVE YOUR MONEY & YOUR TIME! I've lived here for about a year and a half and recently renewed my lease. If I would've known how bad the "new" property management at this complex (including the maintenance) was, I would've never renewed my lease here! When I first moved here the leasing staff was AMAZING! Ginger, the Manager, and Rachael were wonderful and had the place under control! However, after the property got bought out and became Century Galleria Lofts, all of the leasing staff left to another property under the old management property. After they left, all the wonderful things about this place were GONE! The previous maintenance staff was just OK, but the management made up for it. Now, every time I walk into the leasing office it's a new person I talk to and the maintenance staff is also different every time! I don't want a random person every time I open up a ticket walking into my apartment! A few of the CONS about this place now are listed below. New leasing staff every time I walk in and their excuse for everything is "I'm new here, sorry." Don't expect to get anything useful or done from them! Maintenance staff is the worst I've ever experienced in all of the apartments I've lived at! If you open a ticket, don't expect for it to be completed anytime soon. I would say if you get it taken care of in 3 weeks, you are lucky! I opened a ticket months ago for a water filter, the simplest of requests, and to this day I have no water filter. Turns out the previous maintenance person that came in here took my old water filter to order the replacement and didn't even bother to notify us, so we have been drinking tap water for the past couple of months! Gross! I pay way too much rent for the absolute worst service here! The parking garage gate has been broken for longer than it's been functioning since I moved in. It has now been at least 9 months that the garage gate has been broken! But wait, don't go into the leasing office to ask about it because all they say is "we are currently in the process of getting it fixed". It's all LIES! Do not list this property as a gated community and make people pay for it when in reality it's NOT, and the people here don't care to fix it! Note, they did at some point hire security for the weekends ONLY, but they are just as useless! They sit in their car, talk on the phone, watch videos, or sleep! They do not make sure cars going in have a sticker much less flags cars down to ask if they are visitors! The money this property is paying for the useless security on Friday and Saturday nights should be used to install a garage gate that actually works! Parking in the parking garage is annoying after 6pm! Visitors do not care that they must park on the garage roof, so they park everywhere. Management here does nothing about it when you complain either, so save your time going to the leasing office again. Tenant's dogs pee & poop everywhere and don't clean after their pets! It's absolutely disgusting! There are no rules enforced here on keeping the property clean! The hallways always have pee everywhere and smell so bad when walking the hallways to the parking garage. The entrance key pad has never worked to let guests in either, but wait, they can walk in anyway because the parking garage gate is ALWAYS open! Fruit flies love the complex! Doesn't matter what I do, fruit flies are always around the complex and get into the apartment! Probably because the sewer system is right next to this complex! Robbery. As the garage gate is always open, be careful with your stuff! One night I drove into the parking garage and a truck was sitting on cinder blocks! Another person's car had their windows shattered and broken into! The leasing staff & management company don't care what happens to this complex or if the tenants are happy!
It's so sad to see such a beautiful complex with wood floors, brick accent walls, and spacious living space get so run down...
Read moreThis will probably be the most honest review you're going to get so if you are seriously considering living here I would read this. My wife lived at Century Galleria lofts for about 5 years and then we lived there together for 2 more years. The apartments really are a great value, beautiful, and priced well relative to the competition (at least over the years we lived there). We had the pleasure of living there while Ginger Strange was the property manager. Over these years we had a great relationship, staff was always courteous, responsive, and caring. I can't say we ever had any issues during the 6 of these 7 years. Unfortunately Ginger left (and all the reliable staff) and what followed was a revolving door of short-term property managers (There were at least 4 in a period of 6 months). Over this period of time the garage was damaged or not working for probably the entire time. A couple of the property managers actually seemed like great people and then a week later they were gone. There was some crime, a few occasions when the police showed up, but it seemed to be handled ok. This is Houston so none of my 1 star review is a result of the crime or even the property manager turnover.
The 6 of 7 years of great living and what would have been raving reviews of this property were destroyed entirely by one individual, the last (and I think current) property manager Cory. If Cory no longer works there you can discontinue reading this review however if he is still the Property manager I would run away from this property as soon as possible.
This man was by far the most unprofessional, condescending, and horrible individual I've ever dealt with. The man's ego and pride overcome any decency he might actually possess. Every encounter I had with him left me with a disgusting taste in my mouth that bordered on absolute anger. The way he spoke to me and other residents in my presence was absolutely inappropriate. He masks any decision he makes with property contracts and legal jargon in an attempt to sound sophisticated and fair in what he's suggesting. Let me just tell you, he is absolutely full of crap and will fight tooth and nail to take advantage of you "on the properties behalf". When we moved out of the building I had one of his front desk employees and the maintenance guy check out our apartment to make sure it was in good condition. I stressed to them both I did not want any surprises and would be happy to clean up anything they might have thought to be not up to their standards. They both assured me that the property was left in good condition and there would be no issues. Then I received from Corey who just simply left me a voicemail "We need to talk about the condition of your apartment" which sent shivers down my spine. I literally had two of his employees look at the apartment inside and out and they assured me it was in great condition. When I went over to meet with Corey he told me that whatever they told me didn't matter because "his say was the final say". Apparently he thought I left the apartment dirty and then proceeded to show me pictures of hair and trash (trash that I left in the Valet that we pay $20 a month for, that was then taken inside the apartment, pictured, then left to seem like I had left it behind?). He told me the hair looked like pet hair (we don't own any pets), he told me the flooring needed to be replaced and wanted to charge us $300 for it (I told him we had a roof leak that took a week to get fixed and caused leakage on the floor and perhaps that was the damage). He did take that charge off after I informed him. This whole experience felt like I was being arrested and having to explain my actions to a police officer (No I have never been arrested). Corey initially charged me $75 for cleaning then as a "token of good faith" split the cost with me and only charged me half. Long story short - If Cory is the property...
