TERRIBLE customer service. They WASTED MY TIME. After a long day at work I decided to treat myself to a new perfume. I proceeded to pay with my card and the POS screen said “Transaction approved” and ended up staying frozen on this screen for about 10 minutes. I waited patiently. The representative told me they have been having problems with that particular POS machine. The representative proceeded to ask me to check my bank account to confirm if my card was charged or not. I checked and told her my card was charged. After the machine was no longer frozen, the representative called a coworker over who proceeded to MAKE IT SEEM LIKE I WAS LYING when I said that my card was charged. I had to physically show her the transaction on my bank account. They told me that I will not be able to take the perfume unless I PAY AGAIN. I told them that I will not be paying twice for one product. They told me the transaction would fall off in 24 hours. I asked them for a receipt as proof that the transaction was cancelled, just in case the transaction doesn’t fall off and the lady proceeded to tell me there is no receipt (she was holding one in here hand) I told her if I’m not able to take the perfume and my card was charged then I wasn’t leaving without a receipt and she finally handed the receipt over. The next day I noticed that the payment was not a pending charge and it posted to my account. I called and spoke with a manager (a woman) and explained to her what happened. Not once did she apologize for any inconvenience. She sounded irritated that I was calling to inquire about the transaction. I asked her what the next steps will be. She said to wait until the next day. I asked her if the issue can be fixed the next day because I don’t want to drive back to the store for no reason, she said they can fix the issue. The next day I drove back to the store and spoke with a different manager. He told me that the payment will not fall off in 24 hours like the other manager had advised, but instead it is 2-3 business days that I would have to wait. There was no other solution presented. I wasted my time and gas AGAIN. After 5 business days I called back to the store to advise them that the transaction was still showing on my account. At this point I have no refund or perfume so this has become VERY IRRITATING AND INCONVENIENT. I spoke with a manager (a woman) I explained the her everything that happened. She told me that I need to contact Ulta guest services. I contacted Ulta guest services and they were not able to resolve my issue so ultimately I had to end up disputing the charge with my bank.
All of this was because THEIR POS system was faulty and this is something that they failed to acknowledge. I was not accommodated in any way. Nobody apologized for the inconvenience. Nobody gave me a solution. This showed me the lack of care they have for their own customers. They do not respect your time, nobody knew the correct policy or resolution. This was just poor customer service all the way around on managements behalf. This whole experience has been a headache. I showed them proof. The transaction was for one item only. You would think this would be an easy fix. I had no choice but to take the time out of my day to leave this review because nobody cared enough to resolve my issue or to even ACKNOWLEDGE how inconvenient this may have been for me. Read moreI was trying to exchange a perfume I bought online (Chanel chance pink version). I realized I prefer the chance chance toilette version but it still didn’t smell good on me. I windowed shopped at ulta for perfumes awhile ago and I decided to splurge on this perfume! It didn’t work out and I was looking for perfumes that were light and either sweet or floral! I am very sensitive to perfume smells and they give me a headache or make me feel nauseous. I am very particular about my perfumes and I can spend hours looking at perfumes & not like any recommendations. No one really helped me at the beginning. One finally helped me and recommended me TERRIBLE perfumes. I did not enjoy it and she made me felt like I was annoying her because I am extremely picky with my perfumes. She left me alone to search on my own which I didn’t mind because I got a headache from the recommendations she gave me. I even told her the brands that I really enjoyed and she didn’t even recommended me anything like it. She also made a face (looked at me as if I was dumb or questioning my logic) when I told her I didn’t like the perfume of Chanel chance & I think it was the toilette I enjoyed more. I was able to exchange the perfume to the toilette and I was right. however, the toilette did not mix well with my body.
this sales associate, Cristina, came up to me asking if I needed any help. We hit it off because we have similar tastes in perfumes!!! She was so sweet and entertaining to talk to. She seemed VERY knowledgeable in the products she recommended. I was able to find the perfect perfume for me! My experience with her made this one of the best ulta trips I have ever experienced! she recommended me many products from the fragrance area and makeup area!!! her makeup skills are beautiful too! Cristina was more focused on recommending products that I would love instead of “popular products” or “products that they should sell”. She was very genuine with her interaction and made me felt like she really wanted to help me find the right product. If I come back to this location, I will always ask for Cristina...
Read moreYesterday I went to go get my makeup done for my birthday photoshoot and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The lady who serviced me (Maria) had a disgusting attitude from beginning to end. She was also sick and coughing into her hands not washing them and continuing to apply my makeup. When color swatching, someone else had to step in and help me get the right color. I asked her if I’d have to pay any extra for anything and she told me no, at the end I was charged 11 dollars to apply lashes and then the cost of the lashes also. I know it was extra for the lashes but I thought paying the extra was to cover the lashes but I ended up paying for those too, which is fine but had I known I would’ve just brought my own inside. Speaking of lashes, I went to the car and noticed my lashes weren’t on the lash line they were on my lid. So I go back inside and tell Maria, she asked me did I do something to them or touch them. I told her no and she ripped the lash off of my face. She was shaking her head and mumbling under her breath while taking the old glue off the lash. When she ripped it off my face it left a spot where the makeup was not there it was just the glue. I asked her if she could reapply the makeup and she said what do I want as if the bald spot on my eyelid wasn’t visible. She tapped my eyelids a few times but nothing was changing so I told her not to worry about it. She says yeah it doesn’t matter because you told the other ladies I couldn’t do your makeup. I said what? I asked if you could do a look and you said yes what are you talking about? And she looked me up and down and said that’s what I heard. Like someone told her that? So I tell her to have a good day and I walk off but I was so upset I started crying, she was so rude and disgusting to me. I had never gotten my makeup done professionally before and she ruined my birthday shoot and my day. I had to wash the makeup off bc my tears stained it and it looked disgusting.
