This church reminds me of grade school/college frat club at my colleges - if you are with the wrong few insensitive people here. I left years ago because few coordinator admins were very rude and disrespectful of my thoughts, troubleshooting event problems. This may not matter now, and don't ever want to be a part of a uncaring staff in LBS (Kaleo). Most were friendly but live too far away but not cool with few of the members anymore. stay away far if you want to protect your Christian feelings; keep out of my good vibes and you may lose respect as church. I can't believe some people GOT to be insensitive. They don't know what hardships I endured all my life as strong Christian believer and no matter how hard I was nice, occasional snobby behavior shouldn't EVER be a problem at any church period! I had a similar issue at a smaller church with few like this, so I don't feel safe expressing my feelings or insecurities at most churches now. Like get a life or train your LBS staff to optimum...do something!! praying this never happens even outside of my church life. Thanks...GOOD LUCK CHEERING NEXT GENERATION OF AUTISTIC ADULT MEN IN THEIR 20's-30's and up!!! Disappointed in the few negative experiences. My soul feels ashamed. I respected all but I don’t understand why I had to be the few rejected of my opinions; I NEVER judged anyone!!! I love to get along to move FAR past my grade school frenemies/bullies. I only came here in 2012 because someone else at home severely bullied me often & stole most of my personal photos, clothes, money, EVERYTHING I had since childhood.
In 2013 1 year later my soul was severely broken and lost in pain and misery when I ended up rehab for manic depression episode; not cool dude… I don’t believe I deserved to suffer such trauma in my life and just turned 24; (had to miss my birthday at wrong time = heartbreaking 💔😡😡) now 35 looking behind my 20s…boy do I miss being young 🙄😠 cant change past but blessed I moved on and with healthy few friends who care. Also love...
Read moreLove this church ⛪️ LOVE IT! Pastor Gregg is young, energetic, clear. Furthermore and most importantly, he really teaches you the Gospel as it is. He has series and now we are learning the series of Skeptics. It has been awesome, we can use so much of the information we heard, with ppl that are skeptics and non believers. Love it!! He shows us what good or bad can brings us. He talks about all the beautiful things and gifts and sacrifices Jesus did for us and for our sins, but, he also talks about our nation problems such abortion, homosexuality, gay marriage, therefore, he’s not a lukewarm pastor, only preaching what people would like to hear, he preaches what we need to hear, even if is hard to hear. No PC here, he teaches us true Gospel. He also make us participate in each service, we write messages every Sunday because he makes us fill cards with the information/message his giving us that day. It is very scholarly, he’s a teacher and I really love his preachings and lessons. Another thing is that, what he preaches, he does and now he’s in sabbatical, and he was preaching about taking our time with God, Our of work, but just with God. Something I’ve never seen in a Christian church Last Sunday, we all pray in our knees, all the church in our knees...wow. This is amazing, I didn’t see that before (except for catholic rituals and muslims). Everybody in our knees, praying for our country, we also pray for our leaders, we pray for different events. It’s just awesome we all do that in a regular Sunday service, everybody praying a common cause. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 If you are searching for the Gospel, the Gospel of the Bible, this is the place. Members are so passionate in this church, and the children participate all the time, singing and sometimes in prayers, and you can see how much they love God. I’m so Happy and Bless I found this amazing and beautiful church and I’m planning to become a...
Read moreRush week was by far one of the worst experiences of my life. imagine waking up at 5am and going to sleep at 12-1am everyday for a week. on top of that your standing outside in the heat for most of the day with barely any breaks in between that. by the 3rd day ur already so physically drained that u can’t even have fun or enjoy the beach and all you want to do is sleep. working for the lord is great but let’s not forget we need to be getting proper sleep to do those things. when i was tired it was seen as me “having an attitude” and if you complain you’re being “selfish”. some of the “leaders” have a power trip and think they can be disrespectful towards students just because they’re in charge. some of the leaders had a problem with me taking a break while working… so are we slaves? why is me taking a break being used against me? when i’m running off 4-5 hours of sleep and constantly working and moving around throughout the day. one girl even PASSED OUT! during worship. there was also situations of people being grouped up and not really being friendly or inviting… our bedtime being 11pm was a HORRIBLE idea when we’re having to wake up so early. i felt like it was less about jesus and more about working. florida is a beautiful place but i wish i was there under different circumstances because i would’ve never went to rush week if i knew it was gonna be like that. I will NOT be coming back to this church after my experience with...
