I thought I had done enough research before booking—checking Yelp, Google, TikTok, and other social media. While I noticed a few negative reviews, they didn’t seem like deal breakers. Wanting to relax before a busy week, I decided to book a couples massage for my husband and me.
When we arrived, it took about 8 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. During that time, all the employees were laying on the massage beds. We wanted to review the service menu to see if we could add anything, but instead of letting us browse, the staff rushed us and quickly closed the menu. The language barrier also made communication very difficult. We were required to pay before our service, which felt unusual but we went along with it.
The spa itself is aesthetically very pretty, but the service experience was another story. We were taken to a room, given minimal instruction (just two words we didn’t understand), and then left alone. Since this was our first Asian massage, we weren’t sure what was expected—whether we should undress completely or not. There was only a thin sheet on the table, which added to our confusion. We went back to the front to ask, but again, the language barrier made it nearly impossible to get clear guidance. All we were told was, “You go on your back now.” We assumed it was just a back massage, so we only undressed from the waist up—only to realize we were wrong.
My massage was by far the worst I’ve ever had—rushed, sloppy, and honestly painful. I felt like I was being tossed around with no real technique, and at one point, the therapist even climbed on top of me, which I found extremely uncomfortable. It turns out the same person who checked us in was also my massage therapist. My husband had an equally bad experience with his massage. We left feeling sore, uncomfortable, and very disappointed.
To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, I left a $10 tip, but the therapist pointed to the receipt, insisting it had to be $52 for two people. When I explained that I did not enjoy my massage—that it was painful, rushed, and unprofessional—she rolled her eyes, ignored my feedback, and processed the receipt anyway.
I cannot recommend this place. While the spa itself is beautiful and clearly has potential, the service was terrible, and the way customers are treated is unacceptable. I hope the owner takes this as constructive feedback, because changes are absolutely needed before someone gets...
Read moreBeware! I have read a lot of the reviews and I was using my classpass to try out a new place. I wish they would have been more communicative or asked preferences instead of assuming. I saw this as a young working female who wanted to get a massage after a long day of work. I have gone and gotten massages at other places so the complaints about the towel in their underwear is normal for me. However, I usually have a woman. The person leading me into the room was a woman so I assumed (which is a bad thing) that a woman would be giving me a massage. After undressing for my full body massage the person enters. Upon touching me I had a feeling it was a guy and that made it even more uncomfortable. Not to mention he assumed I was Chinese and I understood (which I did). It was really rough because he did not put any lotion or oil and so it just felt like everything was being pushed and he spent about 25% on my bottom (which is uncomfortable), which I'm aware and use to in other locations, but that seem to be his focus and also how it was handle was very unprofessional. I say this because I have been going around to several different places and I have one that I typically go to at my chiropractor's office (which they were closed on the day I needed a massage). Then at some point he held up the towel and had me turned around, to which you can see the major discomfort. Even when he told me to relax and focused on one area it didn't help and was even extremely painful to which I told him. He did not sense or consider how a person was reacting or feeling (which I found odd).
Overall, if you go make sure you speak out instead of having them rush you. Yes there is also an underlining expectation of a high tip. The only reason I didn't give a 1 star was that it was a decent massage but might have been better had they asked about my preferences (especially with gender differences and the towel not very big). I would just be cautious if you go, however I will not be returning. I had to go to my other massage place to work out my sore spots because they didn't help (which is where I should have gone in the first place).
I usually don't leave such a detailed posts, but I figure this was something that needed to be said after I thought about...
Read moreAbsolute waste of time and money. Went there today and got a relaxation 60 minute massage but was anything but.
Red flag 1: pay before receiving service. My wife and I love Getting massages and have been to numerous spas around the globe and this is the first I’ve experienced this.
Red flag 2: lady at front desk was not welcoming at all. Very direct and not welcoming and gave a sense that she didn’t really care.
Red flag 3: at this point, we should’ve just left in hindsight and got our money back. But we’ve been to similar places before and decided to give benefit of the doubt The room was very bright and they had towels for cover. Very basic and did not feel like a professional massage room and also the masseuse’s had on regular clothes and no uniform. From my experience, I could tell once the massage started by their lackluster technique and the way their hands felt that they haven’t been doing this long.
The massages both my wife and I received were terrible. This was the WORST place we have gotten a message. For me, the lady literally just rubbed the back of her arm on my back for 45 minutes in one motion that was neither soothing nor comforting, then proceeded to do the same to my legs. I had to tell her the spots to massage next as she was just going to town on my back. She definitely ate something weird because she was burping constantly and I could smell it from time to time. Rushed the last 5 minutes and I was honestly glad it was over.
My wife’s masseuse was just as bad but with cigarette breathe. she was texting during the massage and at one point I saw her sit on my table, text on one hand, and barely massaging my wife with the other. And my wife had to ask for them to dim the lights. Also they both kept leaving during the massage. The lotion they used felt cheap and was not immediately warm as I have had everywhere else
There was literally nothing that this place offered that was decent. I understand having not as aesthetically appealing place, which is fine, but at least somewhat of a quality massage.
We left and I mentioned to them this was the WORST place...
