Skin Solutions Day Spa — Attraction in Houston

I’ve been getting my lashes done since 2015. I’ve been to a chain and several different technicians in Dallas and the SE Houston area, and have had several good experiences and a few bad experiences.

I was referred to the spa by a friend who has been getting her lashes done and massages at this spa for months now. She always spoke very highly of this place and her lashes are always on point.

I came in yesterday for a full volume lash extension set with Sarah. The spa is very clean and soothing. I felt a sense of calm as soon as I walked in. Sarah was very welcoming and professional since she greeted me at the front desk. Her studio/private room was very clean and relaxing as well.

Sarah explained to me exactly what she was doing and how long it would take. (Full sets can take up to 4 hours so I was already prepared to spend a good chunk of my afternoon there.) I loved that she was not going to rush through it!

She lashed one eye at a time which I LOVED because it gave me a chance to take a short break in between. I also didn’t feel anxious having both of my eyes taped shut for hours. It was really nice!! She uses the gel under-eye pads too. No tape!

She uses the very soft and light weight flare lashes (for volume sets) that feel like real mink or cashmere. (They were nothing like the cheap plastic feeling lashes that most chains or other technicians have put on my eyes in the past.) She uses the black glue that matches the lashes and it had little to no smell or fumes in my eyes. The whole session went by very smoothly.

She lashed both eyes in about 3 1/2 hours, which didn’t feel like it since I was so relaxed that I was able to nap for most of my appointment. My lashes would have probably taken the full 4 hours but I already have pretty long lashes and dark which makes it easier for technicians to add the extensions to.

Sarah was very thorough and gentle throughout the entire process, and my lashes look amazing!! I will definitely be going back to get a refill in a few weeks.

I went to Skin Solutions for microblading and was fairly nervous before I arrived. I had never gotten my eyebrows microbladed before and didn't know what to expect. After arrival, Natasha explained the entire process to me prior to going back. I felt very comfortable with her as I felt she was very knowledgeable on the process. We discussed how I wanted my eyebrows to look as far as thickness and shape, what I didn't like about my current eyebrows, etc. She picked a color perfectly matched to my eyebrows and after drawing a "template" of where my new eyebrows will be, applied the numbing gel. The gel sat for about 30 minutes while I took a little nap in the extremely relaxing atmosphere they provide. Once she started my eyebrows, it was a little uncomfortable, but not painful. After about 30 minutes of work, my eyebrows looked FANTASTIC! Let me tell you... they looked PHENOMENAL! I am heading back for my touch-up today and couldn't be more pleased. I would highly recommend Natasha and all her wonderful glory to give you those eyebrows you've been...

Terrible. I had two failed attempts at their painful microblading , they never tell you if you have oily skin you're not a candidate for this. Probably just wanted to take my money. Then she did powder brows, again terrible never even or straight. Not to mention they are rude with little regard to customer service. Will never use this place again.

Actually, I have done alot of research and talked to several other establishments and you are incorrect on the oily skin. It doesn't take for people with oily skin. And seeing that you think my comments are stemmed from me cancelling 1 appointment due to being ill, your only half correct. Everything I said was indeed ACCURATE! I tried talking to you people...
