Absolutely a waste of my time and patience. I was visiting in Houston with my family and we chose this place as an activity. We got there 30 mins before closing, it was 6 of us, we waited in line for 20 mins just to get to the front and they didn’t have enough cars for us to ride together they said we could wait, but also warning us that we MAY not be able to ride because it was 10 mins before closing, and that we MAY not get a refund for our money, but we could use the tickets the next day. We notified them were there just visiting and was leaving tomorrow and wouldn’t be able too. They said they would work something out, addressed the fact we had clutched purses that we couldn’t ride with and was told to place them in the lockers. We took them back to the car, returned to the line and continued waiting. It’s now our turn and they then told my family member and I that we weren’t allowed to ride because we didn’t have a wristband. We were puzzled, the tickets were paid for, nobody mentioned anything about a wristband, we asked what the wristband was for they wouldn’t answer just kept saying “yall have to go inside and get a wristband” we go inside to the counter, just to be told there’s a hair length policy, “anything past the middle of the back length isn’t allowed to ride” my hair is in braids, they did go past the middle of my back, however by the time it was time to ride, I placed them in a tight bun in the top of my head because I didn’t want to sit on them. My cousin hair is just passed her shoulders but it was in a pony tail. I stood in line for 40 mins with my hair down just to be told at the VERY last minute it needed to be “approved” I told the manager that it’s in a bun it’s no longer violating the policy for the length and they refused me to ride, saying the wind could knock the bun down and they’ve had scalping incidents. It was ridiculous. I complained about not being notified before paying and my time being wasted and the only excuse that was provided was “we have new people working”. clearly proper training isn’t being provided, for the front desk personnel or the people running the track. The whole thing could’ve been avoided if it was mentioned in a timely manner or at purchase. Instead of excluding people from being involved in activities when there already isn’t a lot to do, they should have a waiver or something that is required to be signed if you’re not meeting their standards. Stating you ride at your own risk if you choose to participate in said activity. Turning people away after taking their money, just to return it after, wasting their time is just horrible customer service, then had the audacity to make side comments while processing the return stating “oh good the register isn’t locked, if it was we would’ve had a problem on our hands” absolutely not, you would’ve been required to figure out how to return our money. Hadn’t dealt with such horrible customer service the whole vacation until...

My visit to Speedy’s was far from enjoyable, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a fair or professional experience. I’m from Miami, and I was really looking forward to trying this place, but it was a complete letdown. During our ride, I was in first place with my friends right behind me, and we were all in the top three. But on the final lap, they inexplicably slowed me down for the entire ride. This completely ruined the experience—what’s the point of putting effort into the race if they’re going to sabotage it at the end?
When we asked to speak to the manager, Albert, the staff gave us the runaround for over 10 minutes. First, we were told he was outside, then in the restroom, then at the front. It felt like they were intentionally avoiding us. One particular staff member, a Hispanic woman in a pink hoodie who wore glasses, was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She was on the plus-size side, acted as if she was in charge, gave me plenty of attitude, and seemed more interested in showing superiority than resolving our concerns.
To make matters worse, the entire staff reeked of weed, and it was clear they were not in a condition to be working. What’s even more shocking is that there was a cop present, and despite the strong smell of weed coming from the staff, no action was taken. This lack of professionalism and accountability added to an already frustrating experience.
Overall, Speedy’s was not worth the time or money. Between the unfair ride, the rude staff, and the unprofessional atmosphere, I left feeling completely dissatisfied. If you’re from out of town or local like me, don’t waste your time. If you value customer service or a fair experience,...
Read moreIf I could give this place a zero star I would. My daughter as a Mexican child takes pride in having long hair but as these things go they checked out hair in the beginning and we rode, the second time around a different person checked the tickets and kicked my daughter off because her hair was too long, we explained to the manager and the front desk worker did not let my daughter ride because it was a lawsuit liability even though she has already rode once. Hilarious how the manager had never been spoken to in a stern and respectful passive aggressive tone and it showed, she was upset and didn’t let me talk nor did she leave behind space for communication clearly waiving her hands in my face, they didn’t offer a refund for the inconvenience or allowed us any additional compensation as a courtesy they simply talked to the guys at the front that none of them took blame for letting her ride to bein with, the managers son was mean starring at me because she was more than upset, not only is this your job but you bring your child, all because you’re being defensive over your team not following proper protocol to begin with. The restrooms are disgusting the games 3/10 are out of service, the service is awful and the go karts ran out of gas the first time we took a ride. Laughable place if you are a girly girl with hair YOU ARE JOT WELCOME HERE. Not to mention our play cards stopped working after 42 minutes even though we purchased them...
