I attended here twice. Got somewhat of an off vibe the first week, but couldn’t place my finger on what exactly. The choir and organ are beautiful so I came back again this past Sunday. The pastor gave a sermon on forgiveness, which he ended by saying that in our relationships Jesus calls us to forgive even if it risks putting us in imbalanced and abusive relationships. Nope. That’s the bad vibe I was picking up on. Jesus is not asking people to put themselves in abusive relationships—he isn’t requiring anyone to be abused or risk abuse. St Pauls UMC is a beautiful large church in the Neo Gothic style, made mostly from limestone. The church has beautiful stained glass windows and the ceiling is hand carved cedar and quite outstanding to view. The church is well known for their choir and also the beautiful large pipe organ that has 4359 separate pipes!
