I was referred to this hospital by Grace ER and I am glad I gave them an opportunity. I had broken my wrist and had to have surgery as a result. Dr. Gharbaoui was very professional and patient through the entire process. I also would like to add that I was blown away at the efficiency in the process here. When I arrived initially, I checked in with the reception desk, they gave me my forms to fill out, as soon as I was finished with my forms I was called back to another waiting area to have an x ray done. I checked in there, sat down, pulled out my phone thinking this is where I am going to be waiting forever to be seen, and just as soon as I opened my phone to read while i waited the x ray tech called me back. I did my x ray and they pointed me to the end of the hall where I would meet the doctor. I was told to have a seat in his office by his nurse and she closed the door behind her. I said to myself, ok this is where the waiting begins. Reached in my pocket pulled out my cell phone and in walks the doctor, cell phone back in pocket. He reviewed my injury and made his recommendation. Afterward he sent me to the cast room where they put on a cast. Did I have to wait ? No. In and out in minutes, they even discharged me while I was being casted. I could not believe how fast and efficient this visit was. It was unlike anything I ever experienced at a Dr. office or hospital. I literally waited on nothing. On my day of surgery, I was in and out in amazing speed as well. There was no waiting around, most of the time was spent completing some part of the process with very minimal wasted time. I hope I never need to go back here but if I do, I will definitely. Not only is the patient care up to standard, so is the care for the...
Read moreThe response from TOH on social media got a faster response than when I called patient advocacy or any from your facility. I think hospitals forget that not only are we patients but paying customers as well. So sad. Do better.
0/0. Had the worst experience with my husband. Long story short, he obtained major complications 2 weeks after his surgery and was admitted to another hospital and stayed in the ICU for 3 days. On top of that, it kept him out of work for 2 1/2 months more than anticipated. Upon receiving his medical records in the ED, it was lie after lie after lie. The NP not only tried to cover up what had happened, he tried to make us feel like we were in the wrong for not telling him my husband’s medical history, even though it was documented in his chart. Out of the 5 people that took care of him, 3 had to be reported to the appropriate boards of Nursing; or medical.Texas Orthopedic Hospital did the least amount as possible to try and make it somewhat better and were basically just hoping I would back down. Zero accountability. I will NEVER be going to this hospital nor any of its’ HCA affiliates. Do your research people! All of your physicians and nurses are all on the either the Texas Medical Board and Texas Board of Nursing. It’s all PUBLIC RECORD. Turns out one of my husband’s doctor’s was investigated in the late 90’s for being found in an “unconscious state” by one of his nurses. The doctor had to go to AA since he was injecting himself with anesthetic drugs. He was employed at another HCA hospital at the time and is now working at Texas Orthopedic Hospital, another HCA affiliate in the Texas Medical Center.
Do your research and stick up for yourself (especially when a hospital was...
Read moreI had hip replacement surgery yesterday. The experience was excellent. Easy access from the highway, safe and convenient parking. We had to do lab work and EKG a few days earlier so that rehearsal reduced the stress of driving around the Medical Ctr. At the lab I had Daisy doing the blood draw and EKG. I’ve never had blood drawn as painlessly. EKG was the same. She was excellent!
Arrived, again, great staff and well organized. My only warning is for patients and person staying with them, dress warmly!
Again we had an incredible and busy nurse, Trinity. She took care of my wife with multiple warm blankets, despite her normal workload. Her genuine kindness was so appreciated!
Next nursing experience was after surgery. Absolutely delightful nurse focused on both the medical stuff and genuinely interested in the patient as a person. In my daze I failed to remember her name, sorry.
Met Adam, behind several emails you will receive. Genuinely helpful, positive and wanted any and all concerns/questions the patient or care giver had.
Last stop was with two nurses both excellent, I only remember one name, Jerry, unfortunately.
Here is where the unexpected came in. Asked the first nurse what to order for dinner around 5:30. I hadn’t eaten in 24 hours. Took her recommendation.
The kitchen prepared the best steak I’ve had in months!!!! Ate too much and too fast. Nausea from the meds kicked in.
Both nurses were fabulous at taking care of my self-induced problems. Sorry guys!Jerry was incredibly helpful at getting us safely to the car with everything we could possibly need for an hour trip home. He has been working at that hospital since it opened which I respect and reflects on the quality...
