On 1.13.20 I had to cancel my dishwasher order (per home depot). They told me I would be credited back 700+ dollars within 48 hours. On 1.16.20 I called the store and they told me it was in the refund mode and it might be a couple more days. On 1.20.20 I called again and spoke to four different associates and was placed on hold for 10 minutes only to find out I needed to come into the store with my debit card. I live 27 miles away from the store. I got into the car and drove there as they were never had any intention of returning over $700.... you obviously can't rely on their word. Went to store, waited for the "right" associate Cynthia' who was less than thrilled to assist me. After eye rolls and big sighs, she told me to insert my card. I did and she said, that's not the right one! My husband had used his debit and he was not available. I asked that it be returned to my debit card as the order was under my name and I had my license. She said she needed to ask another associate. Cynthia tried to get Mia's attention four different times in 10 minutes. She was helping another associate with another return-- as was another associate. Mia would not make eye contact or acknowledge me or Cynthia. I have never encountered such disrespect and lack of care in home depot before. If this is one of the leads of returns and customer service, this store is in trouble. When she finally stepped (one step) over to me, she was short and unkind. She said there were only three options- put the card number in, store credit or check that they would mail in 7-10 days. I called my husband who is in the middle of a multi million dollar project to disrupt his meeting and ask for his card number. I finally have the number- time to get my credit! NOPE!!! Mia said enter your card number. Only it apparently isn't an option. She then said store credit? I said no way! I don't want to ever support home depot again after this experience. The only real option is for my husband to drive 27 miles after a 14 hour day to get a refund we were ensured would happen a week ago.
If you are told to cancel an order- beware that you won't be refunded the money. I have to think that this home depot hopes you forget about it and they keep your hard earned money. If you are persistent you might get your money bank but it's going to be a huge hassle. Tip- Lowes is across the road and they know how to...
Read moreEmployees are lost. Some employees know something and other employees don't, which results in providing misinformation, confusion, and inconvenient experience to the customers. Here's what happened, I went to this Home Depot to place an order of 8 blinds (700-800 bucks worth), the blind staff told me " since it's an special order, they won't apply military discount, and I need to claim it at the front when the order completed, also once they receive the blinds, they will contact me to schedule an appointment for installation. Everything is paid for, no extra charge" What actually ended up happening was that claiming the discount later was a misinformation, he was supposed to scan the code and give me the discount ( I am not crying for military discount. Don't say something that you can't keep. If I knew that they will be no discount, I would have gone to Costco or Lowes ), also I had to manually call home Depot to track the status of my order because nobody kept us updated and keep providing us wrong delivery dates. A day after the blinds were supposed to delivered to the store, I called the store because no one called me again, her respond was "oh I didn't know, we were supposed to call you?" And they made me come all the way to the store and make me pay 75 dollars extra for installation, they tried to charge me 30 more dollars for someone to pick up the blinds from the store and bring it to my home. Of course I said no, and I went to the front to pick it up. Guess what the staff said, " your blinds been here forever, we couldn't call you because they didn't put your number here". Again guess what, they have my contacts, phone number, address, and even email. I provided everything at the beginning. What an experience, I am not coming back to this store never again. The store manager and team leaders must be useless individuals. How hard is it to train your employees and have them on the same page? This is the worst home Depot experience I have had. Took me 2 months just to get blinds. Wasted tones of...
Read moreOut of all the many stores in our area, whether home improvement, furniture, clothing, restaurants, personal care stores, etc., Home Depot is my favorite store. They have large professional sizes of cleaning supplies (larger sizes than you can get at the grocery store), I love the Garden area since I love plants, patio furniture, fire pits, etc. I would rather go into a Home Depot and look at the lighting section for ceiling fans, or the kitchen remodeling area to look at new counter tops, or look at carpet or flooring samples, hardware. My husband buys tools for our home based business, we rent equipment such as jackhammers or other tools for jobs, you can have glass cut, etc.
We have bought many many plants, soil, grass, fertilizers, pest control, lawn mowers, other lawn equipment, business tools, grills, lawn furniture, pond and pond supplies, humming bird feeders, firepits, refrigerators, washing machines, bathroom cabinets, toilets, sinks, bathtubs, new flooring, kitchen and bathroom faucets, ceiling fans, and other lighting and so much more from Home Depot and have always been satisfied.
Home Depot is reasonably priced and when we compare prices with another local home improvement store, Home Depot is almost always less expensive.
We recently took out a low interest Home Project loan with Home Depot and had flooring installed and the installer they sent out did an excellent job. Couldn't be happier. Now ready for another project.
Thanks to Home Depot and to all Home Depot employees that have made our experiences with Home Depot very pleasurable.
Can't wait for my next trip to Home Depot. Fortunately, it is only about 1/4 mile away...
