I typically donât shop this Home Depot anymore because it is in essence a frustration creator. âI donât knowâ is spoken here often or theyâll send you to the wrong isle just to get away. On this day I came to get a chain saw. It came with a free battery. I waited for 30+ minutes for someone to come open the cage for the chainsaw and battery. I first asked the girl at customer service to ask someone to come open the cage. She said she would and then carried on texting and smiling with whomever she was texting. I waited 10 min. Then I called the store. First getting automation bot that could not get anyone, I hung up and called again getting a guy. I told him Iâd been standing here waiting for someone to unlock the cage but no one has come. He said heâd be right over. 10 more minutes passed . No guy. I walked over to a cashier and asked her to page someone. She said she would. I looked over and saw four employees huddled and talking and apologized for interrupting but could they get someone to open the cage for me. The guy said ââ thatâs my area I can do thatâ he followed me over I told him I needed the saw and the box said free battery. I asked if the battery was the ones next to it or one of these. He placed the battery and the saw in my basket and I said I needed to pick up a few things. He took them to the register. I gathered my gloves and other small purchases and check out. The girl at the register said,â that battery is not the free one. I said , the guy that works the area put the items together, can you help me get the correct battery. She waved another guy over and told him I had to refund everything and re check out with the correct battery. He walked me over to customer service and asked why I was returning. âŚ.?âŚ.. because I checked out with this battery and the girl said this battery is not the free one. I need the correct one. He asked the original customer service girl ( the texter) if the battery comes with the saw. She said, I donât know. The Home Depot motto. I said wait. I grabbed the display topper and carried it over showing it said the free battery. The gentleman acknowledged it but the girl rolled her eyes, and I said you see this right. So now you know. She began to death stare me. The guy refunded my money and began to charge again only to find they did not have the battery that came with it. I got a refund and drove half a mile to Lowe's and was I. And out in less that five minutes. BRINKMAN HD is and has always been the most frustrating place to get items. Customer service does not provide customer service. Departments arenât in their departments and donât know their stock and specials and management does not care. It is disappointing. Ultimately I take the blame for going against my âdonât shop Home Depot â rule. But gave it a try as I was desperate to get my fallen trees cut after the storm. Itâs amazing that one can go thru a cyclone, fallen trees and no electricity and not be stressed, yet in going into HD can get so frustrated by the sheer âI donât knowâ eye rolling death stare that they offer on a daily basis. To the one guy that helped me get my refund and on my way. Thank you for being a light in this dark place. I suggest you go offer your customer service care to another place where it is appreciated. Iâm fairly sure the low morale, lack of knowledge and general lack of care that is in the staff is due to the work environment. Unless you hire specifically this...
Read moreHoly shit never buy any appliances at Home Depot! This is beyond insane! We ordered a 3k fridge from them more than a month ago. The first delivery, the fridge was defective and so we did not accept the delivery and had the delivery people take it back. The replacement was scheduled for two weeks after that, so we had to patiently wait. Thatâs ok, it happened and we decided to just wait and gave it another shot. Second delivery, they delivered the fridge, installed it and turned it on for us. The fridge started beeping, which the delivery crew explained to us that it is normal and we need to wait for it to cool down. We believed them and decided to wait for a few hours. The delivery crew left, 24hours later the fridge was still not cooling and kept making the beeping sound. So we called the store and we were told that they need to send a technician to come in and check what is wrong. Another week went by, we are seating without a fridge and patiently waiting. The technician came, checked the fridge and found out that the delivery crew cut a wire during the installation of one of the doors so the fridge was not operational and the door had to be replaced. At this point we were furious because we were lied to and played like kids by the home depot crew. Disgusting behavior, I would expect that if you spend 3k on a piece of appliance, you would at least not get lied to and scammed into waiting for forever to get what you paid for. We are still seating around without a fridge and at the mercy of these scammers. They keep pushing back our replacement, with kindergarten excuses. The most ridiculous situation ever. Donât ever think about going through Home Depot to get any appliance, I know it is just one case but still this is unacceptable and the way they treat you is a joke. You will be reasssured that everything will be fixed and taken care of and then you will still seat around waiting for their promises to come true and nothing will happen. I will be reporting this store to the corporate and will report this to FTC. I know it is a waste of my time but I want to make sure no one has to go through this, it is...
Read moreWe had the absolute worst experience with purchasing a washer and dryer at this Home Depot. Instead of a few days to deliver and haul away our old machine, it took several weeks of complete chaos and confusion and additional expenses. The first attempt at delivery we were told by the delivery guys that they couldn't pull out our old unit as they couldn't fit behind it and they left after rescheduling another delivery time approximately a week later. The second delivery attempt went awry as we were told that the haul away was no longer on our ticket/receipt even though we had a copy showing it was and it had been paid for. After those delivery men called their boss and my husband and him argued, they were told to take the old unit. After they looked at the unit and saw it was broken, they said they couldn't take it and abruptly left. That led to many phone calls being passed around from the store to what I assume was the Home Depot customer service line, and being advised of several different processes and what to do - none of which aligned between the store and HQ. Finally, HD sent out a different third party installer after my husband pulled the unit out himself so it was an easy haul away and no hesitation could arise. Unfortunately, those third party installers did not do a good job as we have had to have a handy man out twice to adjust the work the installers did. First, we received notifications on the washer that the water wasn't hooked up properly and come to find out, the original installers put the hot and cold water lines on crossed ($89 to have handy man out that time). Second, squeaking starting on the spin cycle. Another $89 trip out from the Handy man to find out that some of the packing was never removed from the washing machine, which was the cause of the squeaking noise. My washer/dryer FINALLY work properly after several months of issues and additional costs, but this has been the worst purchasing experience of my entire life. Never again will I purchase anything significant...
