Really not good. Iâll first say that the building of this temporary space is amazing I fully understand the difficulties of pulling this off. With that being said the food was downright awful. We had the carpet bagger, pulled pork sandwich and the Brussel sprouts. The carpet bagger was the best of the 3, but nowhere near as good as it is at B&B for probably obvious reasons. The pulled pork sandwich was downright dreadful. The pork tasted canned with a overly sweet and obviously bottled. The bun was your run of the mill grocery store hamburger bun. It basically tasted like typical stadium food. The Brussel sprouts were super over cooked and mushy. Seemed like they were batch cooked, which I understand, but seemed like the batch was too big and maybe we got the last of that batch. All in all I would guess that the menu used for this ambitious venture was too ambitious to execute properly and corners were cut. My 2 cents is they would have been better off with a more limited menu that could be executed more properly. Iâm a fan if B&B and this wonât deter me from their restaurants, but this venture was a miss. Hopefully theyâll learn from this and execute better for next years rodeo since I really dig the whole idea and am very impressed with the physical buildout of this...
Read moreWARNING: Been there twice since the start of this year's Rodeo. The atmosphere is super cool and service was great on one occasion but a complete conjob on the first. Food is, compared to their restaurant, well below average and drinks are watered down. Two important things to watch out for. First, don't fall for the purchase of their yeti type cup w/refills. They over promise on the amount of drink and you get 90% ice. Second, and MOST IMPORTANT: They stick you with a 23% service charge/gratuity. The wait staff will tell you it's for a "pool" and they won't actually get it. We opt for cash when tipping. So, the wait staff will tell you it's been deducted..you pay the tab, leave cash and GUESS WHAT? They STILL CHARGE YOU THE 23%. Not to mention there are VERY FEW PLACES where a 20% tip is deserved and certainly not a mandatory 23%.
So, net net....THIS PLACE WILL RIP...
Read moreWent here on 3/17 before the rodeo. Subpar food and service. Bill was split evenly between our group of six. My check was $111.35 and I signed my credit card slip for $111.35. When I got my credit card statement two weeks later, long after I threw away my receipt, I noticed my credit card was charged $222.65. Twice the amount that I signed off on my receipt. Tried calling the contact number on the website as well as filled out the contact form on website. My credit card company also canât get a hold of the restaurant and the voicemail box is full. I guess itâs easy for portable restaurants to rip people off when they just up and leave then donât respond to any inquires once the rodeo is over. I will NEVER again go to the Ranch when the rodeo comes back to town. And Iâll tell everyone I know not to go either. What a scam! Shame on your poor...
