it’s been 12 months since my friend and I went to Emelia for some tattoos. we both have 7+ tattoos each, and the tattoos we received from her are still scarred and raised 12 months later, and about half the ink fell out. they were originally somewhat ‘fine-line’ tattoos, but she went so deep that the ink spread and we have messes for tattoos. we got butchered, and when reaching out, received a lot of attitude about how it’s “normal”. waited a year to write this in hopes one day we would feel different, but definitely don’t recommend .

Edit: The Owners response to my review should say enough. Not a single word in my paragraph was hateful or rude speech, but that was all you could say back to me. Calling my mom derogatory terms? I wrote a much harsher review on you all a few months ago, and removed it in 24 hours due to anxiety of a response just like this! It was not deleted to “bullying” as you claim. I have 3 One-Star Reviews written in total, like you said, go check! 3 over a 10 year span, so your argument??? But, please go ahead with your “Karen” insults and continue trying to threaten a 20 year old girl, it’s a fantastic look. A business must really stand out to me for me to write a review, yours did. I sent multiple pictures to Emelia of our tattoos, she said it was “normal.” Our tattoos and the pictures you have of them do look fantastic, however, as she went too deep, those fine lines all spread, cracked and fell out. I went to my normal artist, and he was horrified by how deep she went into our skins and how scarred we were. I will gladly send some more your way if you would like! You also did not try “multiple times” to help me. I also have proof. We DM’d, I asked for help, you offered for EMELIA to touch it up two weeks later, and we obviously were not comfortable with the same artist to touch it up. I reached out to Kevin after having a less than ideal first meeting with another artist for my tattoo vision. I was feeling a little defeated that my vision was not going to be able to become reality but his demeanor and willingness to work with me quickly put me at ease. He is the perfect mix of professionalism where you know he takes his job seriously and that you are in good hands, mixed with a personality that make him easy to talk to, and my favorite part was how you could just tell he loves what he is doing when he is tattooing. His excitement to draw the tattoo and joy that was actually palpable while tattooing it, is what every person should feel from their artist. I cannot recommend Kevin and the shop enough, to anyone who is looking for a laid back atmosphere, while still being clean and professional, and produces top of the line quality tattoos. You do not have to mess with the parking and hustle and bustle of Charlotte for amazing quality tattoos with this awesome hidden gem right in...

this is an amazing tattoo shop! i’ve been seeing Emelia since the end of 2023 and i’ve always left so in love with my tattoos! i found her originally through Instagram looking for a female artist to do an upper rib piece and haven’t looked back since! Since then we’ve started a whole leg sleeve project ( all american traditional ) that is bringing all my dreams to reality. we’ve formed a great friendship through all the hours in her chair and continue to have lovely chats at every appointment! i cannot recommend this shop enough! every single artist there has made me feel so welcome and will include the whole room in a fun conversation. the quality and dedication to their art amazes me every time. so thankful to have found Emelia and Revenant!!
