Myself & my daughter booked 3 rooms in a row. We are enthusiasts for escape rooms (79 so far) Drove 1.5 hours. Then came the disappointment. Rooms not maintained, Alexis our game master was anything less than enthusiastic, being her last day on the job she definitely made it feel like she didn't care to be at work. She was also training a new person who obviously was nervous. Instead of being supportive to the trainee she rolled her eyes and laughed while the trainee tried to get through the intro. There was a clue left on the white board, game master (Alexis) had to come into the room becuase there were vials we needed for the game (saying "I DONT KNOW WHY THEY CHANGED THIS, BUT ITS MY LAST DAY AND I DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT IT". Alexis attitude and demeanor was horrible, good thing it was her last day, wouldn't want anyone else to have to experience an employee like that. This was not what I expected from Ecapology company, being as we just were in pigeon forge and had an absolutely wonderful time with that location and staff.
The manager Liv heard our concerns and was professional, apologetic and heart felt about the things we experienced and yes offered some arcade time, but after all that and having to drive back and hour and a half home we were done with the experience. If a company like escapology is going to put their name on something and put a shirt on someone's back to represent their company they should be showing more care for the experience and guest. Escapology huntsville shows poor quality and though they say they have more locations then other escape rooms that isn't something to brag about when your other locations are not maintained & cared for. They didn't have merchandise we...
Read moreThis place is difficult to find. We had a large party so we booked two rooms. When we arrived, no one came to greet us for probably 5-10 minutes. Once they did greet us, they asked us to sign a waiver which was excessively written and then they disappeared for about 20 minutes. The lady who introduced us to the game was very pleasant, and she is why there are two stars instead of one. However, the amount of work that went into decorating and creating a general ambiance/experience was really underwhelming, especially for the prices they are charging. Everything is really worn down and/or cheap quality. Markers didn't work, there was wear and tear on a lot of the items, and there were decorations and props that were completely broken with no apparent effort made to fix them. When we interacted with the guide they had to ask us whether we had done certain things, so it didn't seem like they were watching us with much interest in actually guiding. When we escaped, our guide directly told us that one of the clues is so difficult to physically align that almost no one gets it and he always suggests using a clue for it. There are things that could be done to improve this and help players align these objects, but again it doesn't seem like there is much pride of ownership or real concern for the quality of experience players leave with. Sadly, this is the least impressive escape room I've experienced, and I recommend considering a different venue if you're looking for immersion...
Read moreTruly disappointing. I have been to many escape rooms in several states. This is the second time I have been to this one. A group of friends, some experienced, some newbies, did the Antidote room. Our host was less than enthusiastic, telling us it was getting late. Mind you, it was 8PM on a Saturday. When we asked for a clue, she had no idea we had already completed several clues. This is the host’s job.
Our second clue was useless. We wasted time telling her exactly what we had already done. We did finish the room with over 17 minutes left; however, it was due to sheer laziness on the part of the staff. I inadvertently found the last clue before we solved the two previous clues because they had not reset the room properly. It is infuriating to an escape room enthusiast because it’s, well about as satisfying as kissing your brother.
Needless to say, I will not be returning. On top of the escape room fiasco, the arcade games were boring, that is the ones that didn’t eat our money without actually giving us the game. The staff at the bowling alley seemed confused and uninterested in setting us up with lanes and the food, suffice to say, eat before you go. If you choose to eat there, just realize you will be asked to tip a robot. In my experience, a robot that never actually fulfills the order.
My advice, go to Huntsville Escape Room....
