I will explain 4 stars later. Would like to give 5 because it was awesome. My first escape room. The escape room story was, weird of course, but well laid out. I never felt that there was no link from one puzzle to the next. I really enjoyed it!
Negatives. It sometimes used audio clues, and the audio... kinda sucked. Hard to hear. Next, (I'm guessing common for escape rooms) some of the padlocks were a bit worn. We lost time on a couple of locks that wouldn't open with the correct combination. Had to jerk them hard (lesson for my next escape room but would prefer if it wasn't needed). In the same vein, one of the letters on one of combination locks was worn off. It looked like they'd tried to write it back on but it looked like ● . Lost time there! Finally, I learned that these rooms are really coolly complicated! I can't imagine resetting one in less than an hour. Our reservation told us how screwed we'd be if we showed up 5 or 10 minutes late ("your room will be canceled, and you will pay!). So, we all showed up at least 15 minutes early... and waited almost an hour. When we finished, there was a family waiting for the same room, and they told them that it would be just a few minutes. Yeah... right! We left like, 15 padlocks and 40 clues scattered all over...
Read morejust went here to celebrate my birthday and it wasn’t the best experience. this was my first time (along with 4 others) and i was very excited. the lady that was at the front desk could use better customer service skills. (can’t remember her name but she had bangs and glasses) we did the psych ward room. the walkie talkie didn’t work so we couldn’t get any hints and didn’t get to finish the escape room because of that. we asked for hints multiple times and didn’t hear anything and when the lady got us at the end she had an attitude when we told her that the walkie talkies didn’t work and we kept trying to ask for help. she said we couldn’t move/“break” anything but there was a piece of furniture we had to “break” in order to get to the next puzzle and we didn’t know that until it was too late (literally spent half the time wasted because of that). the attitude of the worker mixed with the frustration of not being able to have a fair chance at finishing the escape room made the vibe off and we didn’t even want to take a picture afterwards and just left. this place definitely had potential but watch out for that lady and ask them to double check the walkie talkies. hated that this happened on...
Read moreThis place was marvelous. I enjoyed the vibe of the place - from the pristinely clean bathroom to the disgusting psych ward with scribblings of an insane man written on the wall.
Myself and my team's initial foray into the establishment led us to believe we were set to stay at a lovely 5 star hotel. Adam made us feel comfortable with being new to the experience and directed us on the instructions. He explained how to perform the tasks in a way an insane lunatic who stayed in a psych ward would understand. It really felt we were set for a luxurious experience.
The scrip flipped the moment we stepped foot into the room we volunteered to be locked inside of. This room was absolutely filthy. We all loved it. Perfection. We struggled, argued, and sometimes cried to the heavens above for assistance. We persisted. We never gave up in our conquest for escaping this room. We felt a sense of adrenaline as the clock was ticking down to our demise. We never gave up! We put our massive brains together and succeeded. We felt on top of the world.
I highly recommend. A-plus experience....
