Tonight was my first experience with Taco Mama's. My daughter suggested it when I said "let's go somewhere we can eat outside, since it was so beautiful today". When we arrived, I didn't care for the parking, it was cramped up in a shared parking garage. The place was packed like a zoo, and I thought "Oh God, this is going to take FOREVER & I'm not even up for it!" I mean the line was all the way to the entrance door! (And I'm starving) Boy, was I WRONG! It only took a few minutes before it was our turn to order, but meantime a nice employee came by offering menus, which was awesome for this newcomer. So, I literally had just decided what I was going to order, & it was my turn! The cashier was very friendly & helpful, even with all the chaos that echoed in the dining room right behind us. Pricing wasn't bad, about $25 for 2 dinner plates, plus 2 cookies cause like I said I was starving. Lol. We headed outside praying that a table would be available, and it was! Now here's the part where Taco Mama's got my attention, I barely got settled in my chair, and our food ARRIVED! Yep, I was shocked. As a matter of fact, my cookies became dessert instead of appetizer like I had intended. I ordered the "Yo Mama" (hehehe, love saying that) and it was awesome. I Actually brought half home with me, so plate had pretty good size portions (for a starving girl, LOL). But most important, the food was FREAKING AWESOME! My side of refried beans could've been a little bigger, but other than that, all was well! I throughly enjoyed it, and have definitely found a new summer spot to eat!
😁 Thanks for the...
Read moreOn Sept 11, 2025, my husband was in CVICU recovering from open heart surgery. His surgeons had not given me much hope. They told me to go get some lunch and rest at my hotel room. Walking to my hotel. I knew I needed a really good margarita. Your Twickenham location is literally right behind the Hilton Hotel…I just walked through the parking lot. Now, here is my story of your amazing staff. I, of course, had been crying… I jumped up on the bar stool at the back… there, is where I met your Manager, Jacob and his staff, Savannah, Dani and Amber. They quickly recognized that I was having a really bad day. Jacob quickly offered his assistance. I told him I needed the best, largest margarita because my husband probably will not make it through the night…. I also, ordered a chicken quesadilla. That hour I spent with your staff … they showed me the best empathy…lots of hugs and support. I finished… walked back to my hotel and took the best nap. I went back over to see him again…at 8:30pm visit…. He passed away at 8:53pm while I was holding his hand. Jacob and his staff holds a very special place in my heart. I would say that the Twickingham location truly is a testament to the owners and company motto … personable friendly...
Read moreConfusing place. No one and no signs saying to take a seat or wait to be seated or how to place an order. You pay for your food before you get it AND it's not cool that you are expected to pay the tip before you are serviced. Food was brought to the table very quickly (less than 5 mins) after it was ordered and was room temperature. The cheese dip was as thin as water & taste like it had soap or some type of chemical that didn't belong in it. There were no eating utensils, no napkins and no drinks brought to table. When asked where our water was the man pointed at the place where you get sodas. Four employees standing behind and beside counter socializing with each other. No one came and asked how the food was. Had to get up and go ask for a to go box and stood there for a long time at the counter and was completely ignored by the 4 employees standing around socializing with each other. I finally interrupted them and asked for the to go box. EXPENSIVE for what you get. I...
