Indian Rocks Beach Nature Preserve — Attraction in Indian Rocks Beach

Parking is terrible. Traffic is ridiculous. The city planners of Indian Rocks Beach and Clearwater beach should consider putting a parking garage in the mainland with a shuttle service to reduce the traffic. Now that I'm done on my soapbox. I did find parking at Indian Rocks Beach nature preserve which is a very small park with a dog park. I'm sure there is not parking here all the time available as it is a very small parking lot and some of the spaces are reserved for residents, which you will see everywhere. The park has a public restroom (which is not easy to find around these beaches). The park is near 10th street. The beach is beautiful we enjoyed it. The water is not clear like south...

This park is so great... I don't want to share! Just teasing. I would take my dog & walk her because the grass is so green. They have it landscaped so interesting, these mounds ... like hills & valleys. For exercise we would walk them again and again! An amphitheatre...used them as steps.... my workout. There's neat little bridges throughout. One leads to a private nook like place with a picnic table. It's secluded and peaceful. I would sit back there & meditate... This is my getaway after my workout. I love this place. They have clean bathrooms !!!!! There is a dog park in one area..... Bark Ave. If you are looking for a peaceful, drama/stress free place to just, well; you get the picture....

Needed to stay out of the house for a couple hours and happened to find this location when looking for a place to sit and eat lunch. This place has a great park for both small children and bigger kids. It even has a workout area for us parents to do something while the kids play. Included with a small spot to launch a canoe or paddle board. Can't forget about the boardwalk also unfortunately I was not able to check it out because although the park is dog friendly on leash that is, the boardwalk however is Not. So if you plan on walking it leave the pets at home because I daughters walked some of it and they said it was beautiful, with views of the ocean and a nice long walk it's worth...
