We’ve been to this establishment several times when we visit IRB, that being said this is the first time i haven’t been pleased with my visit. When we walked in the owner was sitting at a table unpacking boxes , we were the only people in the shop and said she’d be with us in a moment. I ordered a peanut butter banana smoothie and left a 15% tip. As we waited and waited and waited the line grew exponentially. Finally she looked as us and called two other names and i asked if ours was coming soon? She shot me a dirty look and said its coming. To which i replied” i only asked because we were the only ones in the store when we came in” she told me there were people ahead of us and i thought but you were sitting at the table when we walked in but i refrained. A gentleman that came in after me and grabbed his drinks as i continue to wait for the smoothie. I guess i would have liked her to be polite and simply say that the smoothie takes a bit longer. There’s a new place that opened up a block away that had a line out the door 20 people deep, i would rather wait and be treated like a valued customer than go to empty place and feel like i made a big mistake getting a 10...
Read moreWe were so lucky to discover this place on our very first day. I was actually looking for a yoga studio, which is also great and located in the same complex, when I spotted this little coffee shop hidden in the corner. I popped my head in just to see what they had and saw a great menu and yummy pastries, but my personal favorite thing was that they had a Gluten Free Menu!! My daughter and I have Celiac and finding a good, safe place to eat is a challenge for us...I also always hate to ask at a restaurant because so many people think we're just being picky when we actually HAVE to eat gluten free and get sick if we don't. Often, rather than go through the waiter/waitress and other guests rolling their eyes when we ask about gluten free options, we just don't eat out. It was a literal treat to be able to go in and order off the menu...and it was DELICIOUS! It's also a family owned place with the owners right there behind the counter, psyched to meet you. While you're there, there is also an awesome family owned ice cream shop. I loved the whole area. Yoga, cafe, and ice cream. no need to stray from the beach and quickly...
Read moreThree friends stopped in Indian Rocks Cafe this morning. Such a nice place! Jeff and the others are very friendly and we immediately felt welcome. Jeff offered a tasting of the Hydrating Orange Creamscile Smoothie, and we loved it. Today, though, was ladies coffee morning out.
We each decided on a Build Your Own Sandwich. I ordered an egg, American cheese & sausage on multigrain. The other two were with bacon, one on a croissant and the second on an English muffin. Great hit on all three (forgot to take pictures of the food). There is a bakery case with a wide choice of delicious pastries to choose from.
We were fortunate to get a table for three . Right after we were seated, other customers came in to order. It's great to see a local business rocking it.
You order at the counter, and the food is delivered to your table (inside and outside seating available). The establishment is small but efficiently set up and extremely clean.
