What a great theater! Truly one of the greatest places on Earth. I have watched a number of films, and was hoping to watch "Cowdoy in the City 2", the direct sequel to "cowdoy in the City", but Cowdoy died tragically in Copenhagen during the filming of "Cowdoy in the City 2". Just recently we watched that cartoon spider man movie about a spider man universe. We had a large popcorn, and it was maybe the popcorn I've ever enjoyed. They had some cool trailers before the film, and I always think that is a nice bonus. The Staff were very friendly, and we even talked about how much ticket master sucks, and ruins the concert going experience. The younger staffer even mentioned that Robert Smith from The Cure even complained about the ticket Master company and how they are ripping off the concert goers. I told her how I saw The Cure at a music festival in DC back in early 2000 and by the time they came on stage most of the attendees left. You can even buy beer at this theater. I feel like beer really makes these movies better. They really have a great selection of beer. My kids always want to go to chuck e cheese, but I'm not setting one food in there until they carry some cold brewskis. So I drag my kids to Amc movies. The bathrooms are always super clean. I can drop massive mudpie, really level the joint, and magically I come back a week later, and it's spotless. Some of my best moments in life were had in AmC wAshington square movie theater bathroom. Man, I can't wait to go back next week. They have the best snack bar. Sometimes I pop in just to feed my kids. The nachos , hot dogs, sodas, candies are of the finest culinary selections. I highly suggest this theater. At this place, you are always family. Welcome to...
Read more3 years ago i gave this movie theater a 4 star rating I showed up there tonight with my family for my birthday and truthfully I'm disappointed in how everything was. let's start at the parking lot and work our way to the movie. the parking lot just to make it simple you better be ready for off road driving cause if you're not your going to either get stuck in a crater or covered by garbage. walking into the building you used to get greeted by a person as you walk up to the concessions that would let you know where your movie was playing. now they stand behind a counter acting like they are afraid of humanity. the concessions closed half way through the movie so couldn't even think of getting any kind of refill on popcorn or drinks. now for the best parts me and my family get to our seats and the ones we had chose online h1,2,3 in auditorium 4 had popcorn all over the seats and floor garbage in the cup holder and the reaction from the gentleman who sat a few seats down I'm sure his seats were the same way but as the movie started lights were left on for the first couple minutes of a 3d movie hmmm great way to kill that experience. so with all this said that is why i have now changed my rating to a 1 star. I know the pandemic didn't help it but the lack of care for customers that are coming in is really driving this movie theater into the ground.
i can say this will probably be my last time spending $60+ at this locating...
Read moreI’m so over AMC :/ We get there and the front people are very nice. But get to concessions and they’re annoyed. It’s a Tuesday, a discount movie day so I mean ok. They were out of every special edition item for the minions movie which came out 5 days ago. Ok. Then their soda machines are mostly out of soda. You had to pick mr pibb, root beer, or gingerale or hi c. 1 soda machine and all the icee machines weren’t working
We got large drinks and immediately as we entered the theater the lid broke and i spilled a large root beer all over myself. This is the second time this has happened to my family at an AMC with their flimsy cups!
I get back to concessions and the girl laughs and says she’s glad she doesn’t have to clean that up. Are you for real? I’m covered in soda at the very beginning of a 2 hour movie and you’re laughing?
To boot, as always, the recliners are annoyingly narrow and anyone who has hips will push the buttons any time they try to pass their drink or popcorn to their kid.
Anyway. I don’t think a discount day is worth dealing with these theaters anymore. Regal is just much more accommodating and fun, they have bigger recliners and their drinks don’t spill on...
