Blueberry Hill Pancake House — Restaurant in Indianapolis

Oh where do I begin! It was horrible. The food was terrible. The service was slow. The only good thing was the coffee was fresh and hot. This was my 2nd time here and I wanted to give it another try. I wish I would have gone somewhere else. I ordered Waffles. They came with my choice of bacon or link sausage. I chose link sausage. I took pictures of my food so you could see what I received. My waffles were rock hard. They must have been made two ot three days ago. The butter on top I had to scrape off because there was no way it would melt on this cold hard waffle. My link sausage was cold and greasy. There is a sign on the table telling customers to please spend one to one and one half hour at the restaurant which is a big problem when it takes forever to get your food. My biggest complaint is the bill. The waitress when taking our order really took us for a lot! My brakfast came with sausage and with the fruit topping but she charged them separatedly on the bill. She did the exact same thing with my daughter's breakfast. Instead of expected bill of approximately $25 our bill was over $34. WATCH YOUR BILL. THEY OVER CHARGE YOU THEN THEY ARGUE WITH YOU ABOUT IT WHEN YOU BRING IT TO THEIR ATTENTION. The wonan said to my daughter "well you ate it didn't you?" THAT'S THE BILL! IF WE WOULD HAVE SEEN THE WAY SHE CHARGED THE BILL FIRST WE WOULD HAVE BROUGHT IT TO HER ATTENTION BEFORE WE ATE THE DISGUSTING FOOD. I'm being nice, I actually walked away with over half the waffle and sausage still on my plate. Please, if you've read my other reviews of businesses you know I do not give bad reviews. This is seriously bad, bad, bad! Please go to Cracker Barrel or Ihop! Don't go here! Please don’t go here until they change how they serve...

First of all, the staff was nice as can be. Super sweet, super attentive... my coffee was never empty. A good variety of nondairy creamers and half and half. The jams were full and salty&pepper were all on the table along with a large pitcher of syrup.

Food was poor. Pictured you see a vegetable omelet which is suppose to be an omelet made with three eggs and fresh mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes and onions. Excuse the large amount of hot sauce - attempting to make it edible. 1. The mushrooms were canned mushrooms and the taste and texture was very apparent and the spinach is questionable frozen possibly. Tomato and onion was fresh. 2. This is not an omelet- it’s a scramble. Eggs and vegetables were mixed all together then placed on flat top. Not that big of a deal but I don’t appreciate the false title because I like the separate ingredients and eat exactly what I choose. 3. It may have been 3 eggs but then they added a large amount of water to them thus no taste and the taste of the canned mushrooms aluminum seeped through... it was inedible. I even confirmed with my mother who was with me, she agreed... just nasty.

With this so called omelet I got sourdough toast and hash browns. The hash browns were fine - no complaints. Sourdough is fine. They do provide whipped butter which is unsalted for those of you watching your salt intake.

Not pictured is my mother’s meal which was the 2x2x2 (2 eggs, 2 pancakes, and 2 bacon) the pancakes were decent. Much better than franchise “buttermilk” nastiness. Her only complaint is that her bacon was burnt in yet soggy... weird right?

Took my daughter there for breakfast before she went to church got in pretty quick and sat down everything was good we ordered our food and drinks and sat and waited and waited and waited and waited no server still waiting still waiting silver walks past three four maybe even five times didn't ask for refills took care of customers sitting behind me and on the other side of me I didn't say nothing but still waiting for my food food comes out 30 minutes later she didn't apologize for the wait or anything like that but the people that were sitting behind me and on the other side of me already got their food and Are and are about to leave by the time my food and my daughter's food arrives now these people got here after we've already been seated and ordered our food she comes back throws my syrup on the table almost spills it still didn't apologize still didn't offer refills not going to lie food was great service really really horrible I got my bill quicker than I got my food and me and my daughter did not order anything out of the ordinary two skillets pancakes and toast that was it I will never return to this place Granted food was great they need to brush up on their customer service skills in the front servers hell even the busboy that was busting tables ask me if I needed a refill I...
