Yesterday 7/31/2019 my sister and I went to Mi Nail Salon located at 3865 E 82nd St. Indianapolis, IN 46240. We both received a manicure and pedicure. Upon walking in we were directed to a wall and told to pick out nail polish. The only polishes on the wall were the gel polishes so we figured they did not have basic nail polishes as a lot of salons are no longer carrying them. We started with the pedicure, were given a menu and asked to select a service, I repeated we were doing the mani/pedi combo, and that we just wanted the basic pedicure. Our services were fine, the people were polite, but when we went to pay we were informed it was $90 a person. I'm not the type to cause a scene in front of a room full of people, and did not want to look like a jerk in front of my little sister so I paid the bill and added a tip totaling $200. As soon as I left I went back to their website and looked at their pricing, it says for a mani/pedi COMBO it is $45. Then says if you do the procedures individually it is $35 for the manicure and $30 for the basic pedicure. I called the salon to dispute the charges and the gentleman was just plain out rude. I told him I thought we had been overcharged for our services, told him what we had, and how much we paid. He said that we had chosen gel polish and that costs more. I informed him that they only had gel polish and that it was very misleading. He then said that the "normal" nail polish was in the back. How in the world are we supposed to pick from a product that isn't even shown? I told him that they should inform their customers of that as it is very misleading, he said "cool" and hung up the phone. I'm honestly just blown away by the entire scenario. I 100% would have gone back to that salon regularly if it weren't for this instance, now I will never return. How do we end up paying double the price of a mani/pedi combo? And even if we consider the items individually the total should have been $65 a person, so where does the extra $25 per person come in? I just feel extremely ripped off, and saddened that the company wouldn't even be polite to someone who had just spent a whopping $200 on two mani/pedis, that is just ridiculous. He could have at the VERY least explained the charges I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDon't waste your time or money at this nail salon. Brought my daughters in and her friend. I understood pricing was 45.00 for mani and pedi "combo" (the employee advised before they started) another lady told me 35 for full set (my daughter wanted pointed nails but apparently they charge extra 5.00 for a pointed) then another pedi for 30.00. Than my youngest painted her nails for 6.00. I expected to pay 116.00. Employee rings me up for 166.00. There is nothing I could do about it. Of course I had to pay. Then after it's all said and done I look at my daughers nails and I could have done a better job. She had to fix twice only because i said something...twice! The lady at the front came up to me as I am furious with this salon and tried to blame it on me and that they were up front with the pricing. I wouldn't have been so shocked if they would have been. I had to tell her four times (because she kept trying to tell me I was wrong) that I paid her and that I didn't want to talk about it. What a horrible experience. I would find any other place in Indianapolis to go to than this. At least for 166.00 I would have expected better quality of work and better customer service. Not worth it. I left wanting to get the hell out of there. This is the picture of my daughters nails (after they fixed it twice) Called the lady after to tell her how my daughters nails look and she said I was "lying because they do quality work and I don't know nails." Wow! What a sorry excuse...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will NEVER go back to Mi Nails. I have been going here for years! I called not once but TWICE to confirm my party of EIGHT FOR MY WEDDING and when I walked in they were not prepared and only had me booked for one person. They charged my cousin 80 dollars for what Iām going to picture not to mention sheās a minor so instead of consulting an adult about all the up charges 5 Sallie for shape, 10 for French tip, 10 for a design (that ādesignā being a little gold line under the French tip) and 60 for a full set. Her mother got a basic pedi and they charged her for the 60 dollar pedi with sugar scrub and the scraper in which she never got! Just the two of them were charged 245.00 your kidding right? Another one of my bridesmaids got major designs long nails at that and gel and was charged 80⦠with no upcharge. By the time I left āthe brideā I wasnāt letting them touch my nails after the insane upcharge and lack of attention to my reservation I called TWICE about in the last month. I also made it CLEAR on the phone I wanted Alex to do my nails who is no longer with themā¦..and I can see why! There resolution was a 20.00 gift cardā¦..after charging my cousin at least 90.00 more than what they should have and with all the chaos I shouldnāt havenāt even paid for my pedi especially since my massage wasnāt done and my water was COLD in which I told the tech TWICE! Please see the 90.00...
