The Fashion Mall at Keystone — Attraction in Indianapolis

terrible mall, especially Saks. i go there very frequently, i am a high member at Saks and i went to look at some clothes. i was wearing a pair of Vans, a nice pair of jeans, a belt, a nice t shirt that was tucked in, a Supreme hat (which i took off as i entered the store) and my hoodie that i draped over my shoulders, i looked nice that day and an old white man asked if he could help me find something and i politely said "no thank you, i'm just looking around" and i guess he assumed that since i was a young black male, that i had no money and i was going to steal (just making an assumption) and he was just watching me. i didn't notice until i moved, and i saw him walk by and i realized that he was following me. so i wanted to see for sure, so i walked over to the shoes, the man walked to the edge of the clothes department and watched me look and shoes and when i turned around, he acted like he was doing something. so i kept moving around, testing it out and trying to peacefully shop and i finally had enough of it, i decided to pull out my phone to record the man to report to the store and as i was doing so, i came across this piece that i really liked so i stopped the video to take a picture of the piece and at this point i stopped caring because i had my eye on this piece and another employee comes out and practically yells at me and practically tells me to leave for take a picture of the piece to know what it is. i tried to explain to him that the man was following me and how i saw the piece that i liked and he ignored it. i don't think i will be shopping here or at the mall...

This is one of the nicest malls in central Indiana, they have pretty much all the upscale, fancy, expensive shops anyone with money to blow could want, in the Indy area. The parking lot is a bit tight sometimes parking my big truck, and spots can be hard to find, as real estate in the area is valued at a premium. But you can find a spot to park, might just take a few laps up and down the lot, ha.

This mall has everything from Tesla to Apple to burger joints that you can build your own 10 pattie tall burger at, ha. It is usually very clean, organized, well kept, and all the stores are big chain stores backed by lots of money to keep them looking very nice. None of your local mom-n-pop on a budget stores in this mall, ha.

I like their small movie theater they have here too. It sometimes plays movies different than the other bigger theaters. This mall is not close to me, so I do not get here that often, but I do like it when I need to buy a nice item.

Depending on how I dress, which is usually sort of like a homeless person, ha, sometimes I feel Presidential walking around the mall in and out of shops, as I get an odd feeling that I have my own mall security detail lurking in the shadows following me around, haha. Makes me feel safe having my own security force watching after me, lol.

As I don't fit the average profile of well dressed, clean cut, doctor and lawyer types that seem to normally shop here, but it's all good and fun to me.

Overall this is a very nice upscale mall that is tailor suited for the income...

My car was involved in a hit and run accident on the third floor of the parking garage on 8/18/24. I was told at the time that the police would handle the investigation and that any security footage would go to them. I called the mall the next day to try to obtain the security footage because it would be useful for finding the vehicle involved, however they denied my request. I patiently waited to hear back from the Police about the incident, and when they did call me back a few weeks later (9/17/24), it was to inform me that they would not be investigating any hit and run accidents.

After hearing this, I again called the mall to try to obtain the footage. I talked to a few people including the Security Director, who then told me that the only person who could authorize the release of the footage is the GM, Nancy Larson. I left a message for Nancy over a week ago and have yet to hear anything back from anyone.

While it is not the Mall's responsibility, I think it would be good customer service to assist me in finding out who caused more than $900 of damage (bumper respray and real valence replacement) to my vehicle on their property. I paid out of pocket in order to avoid a rate hike from my insurance company. The only way for me to not suffer financially from this incident would be to identify the vehicle involved in the accident...and the only way I can do that is with security footage.

As a former paying customer, I will not spend another dime...
