I have had many car stereos installed from Best Buy to Ovation. Never a problem. I bought a radio from Yong Audio and they were to install it along with some speakers and an amp on July 6th. I never got an oral or written quote on the install except on the day of the install. The owner called once during the day to raise the quote and then another time when I came to pick up my car. Total was around $970. When I picked up the car a very young man who gave me my keys said that it "didn't always start up the first time." He was right. It didn't start the second, third, fourth and so on. When I went to the owner he blamed it on the key fob and replaced the battery. Once we did get it started after multiple attempts he told me he had two cars behind me and he wanted me to bring it back. the next day. He said he could not keep it overnight inside and would not leave it outside. When I got home I decided to take it to the dealer because I watched how he struggled with the key fob. The mechanic said that someone had drilled into the fire wall, (when it was not necessary) and shorted some wires which in turn destroyed the car's computer the ECM. I bought this car new in 2012 and never had a problem. The dealer will back my claims in writing. In the meantime, I sent Yong's 2 e-mails describing the situation and how I was in the process of getting a rental while we waited for parts. This happened on July 6th. Yong's contacted me on July 21st with two e-mails on the same day. Each e-mail had a different excuse as to what happened without taking any responsibility. Later they left voice messages on my phone. Nothing was said about solving my problem or taking blame. It is now August 5th. I still have no car as ECM's are hard to find. I am also losing money purchasing rental cars each week during the peak vacation season. They have many good reviews, but also many bad ones. The bad ones they never accept responsibility for their actions. This has been a nightmare summer for me. I will update this review once I get my car back and the total to repair the car and plus what I have spent on car...
Read moreI am in absolute disbelief after what I experienced this morning.. Upon purchasing a system from Yong's I began experiencing issues within a week after the purchase. My amp continued to go into protect while my voltage drop was next to none. Upon further investigation I noticed that they installed the ground wire with SELF TAP SCREWS. After taking my car back in for a fix I was then charged ANOTHER 40 dollars after noticing the fuse that was previously installed (BY THEM) was loose. Oh it was because of CCA wire you say? Interesting, because the wire used was SHCA O guage which was thicker (which means less resistance) than even their thickest "OFC" wire. Cool so I pay to have the car fixed and after everything's done again BY THEM, yet, I was reassured that none of the work was covered still by any kind of warranty. If you dont think your employees are 100% comfortable with the install prior to the job then DONT ACCEPT it. This place will cut corners on your dime people beware. "We didnt install your system we just improved your ground" - so that's why I have a 400 dollar reciept for an amp install and now 3 holes in my trunk that leak from self tap screws used by your guys.
Shocker #2 While I was waiting I asked the owner "Even if I purchase your most expensive amplifier, (which was thousands) you think they would still install it using SELF TAP SCREWS for the ground? So you're telling me a $2000 amplifier that requires hundreds of amps worth of current will be secured by a little bit of scraped off metal and a SELF TAP.. Anyone and everyone in the audio world should know that this is just one more step they take in cutting corners on your dime. Long story short I'm in absolute awe after what I've experienced and would recommend others to steer clear. I will post pictures later of the "miraculous"work. NO NEWER CARS SHOULD BE...
Read moreMy husband spoke highly of Yong’s & been knowing them for years so I felt safe leaving my vehicle. Yong’s installed their interior light kit in my 2021 Acura RDX yesterday and did a great job but I was so excited about the lights that I didn’t notice they scratched up the inside of my vehicle on the driver side & passenger side until I ran it through the car wash & wiped it down. I was furious because I just bought my SUV in January 2024 which was A-spec Certified & the guy who installed the kit promised to take good care of my baby but he didn’t. The previous owner took very good care of it & it had no scratches or damages at all! I called Yong’s as soon as they open the next morning & took it up there for them to look at it & they claimed they have never scratched anyone’s vehicle before. I never said they did it intentionally but they definitely scratched up mine. The guy who installed it had on coveralls that had metal snaps all over them & he said he sometimes sit on the inside where my car was scratched so it’s obvious he did it but the owners would not do the right thing & accept responsibility and fix my vehicle. I was planning to have them install more lights around my middle console but after what they did they will never get another dime of my money nor will I ever refer anyone. It’s sad that people can’t admit when they do something wrong & make it right! Yong’s should cover their customers vehicle with something to make sure the paint is not scratched. That would be the smart...
