The Hill is the bookstore on the UCI campus. As students here, we often go there. Here is our review about it.
The collection of books is not abundant but satisfying. You will find every textbook necessary for your class, you will also meet with many interesting and attracting books every time you come here. There is little to worry about books being out of stock. Once you order books, you can receive them quickly.
Except for the books, there are some other goods, many of which are mementos of UCI- including T-shirts, postcards notebooks, and so on. You can also find items of daily use in the Hill, but it’s disappointing to tell you that they are not as abundant as the books. Moreover, they are often a little expensive.
Items sold here are somewhat pricy compared with well-known on-line shopping stores. But sometimes they have clearance sales, where you can purchase nice items at a reasonable price. It is helpful in collecting the necessities to start your campus life.
The Staff at the HILL is very resourceful and efficient. They will help you if you have any question about the books or the other goods. Last week, I went there with my friends to rent a textbook. The staff helped us find the book and handle the procedure very quickly. I think they are great.
Its location is really convenient! It is adjacent to university food court, Starbucks Coffee, student center, clean/calm lounge. Also, just a few minutes’ walking can take you to the library, large parking lots and university town center (shopping mall). You will not feel any stress to come and shop here.

She comes back, takes another look at a few boxes on the ground, and cannot figure it out, so she gets help. Two more come over and likewise check before heading to the back. They come back to say they don't have it. That's it. I asked about ordering one. They say we can order online via their website, but it's still the same inventory. No information was provided as to if or when the desired item will be back in stock, either. I see that they get their diplomas through Jostens and ask if I can order elsewhere. No, they said, you can only get the item through this store. A little frustrated, we get back to the car, and after more digging, we find the UCI diplomas on Jostens' website directly.    Read moreWas charged full price for a book I rented despite my online receipts showing I purchased it as rented and the price was that of the rented price in the total. When I got there to it pick up, the receipt said I was charged full new price and my bank account reflected this.
I asked to return the book and they said because the return window had closed the day before they couldn’t do anything even though I had just received my item that day because it had been on back order for a week. That my only option was to drop the class which I can’t do.
Very upset about this because textbooks are very expensive and this set me back a good hundred dollars whereas the rented item would have been twenty. Won’t be coming back here to rent textbooks, rather go to amazon because at least I get notifications when they want to change my...
