I was told by a friend that I needed to visit a Hobby Lobby; there are a lot of great craft, gift, hobby items that they carry! I went to this one and was truly amazed with everything they had and how large their store was! One item I planned to purchase did not have a price tag and was the last one for sale in store. The item was hanging on a metal hook and behind all items, there's a small paper that hangs with the description and some numbers on it, so I figured I'd bring that up to checkout, to help them out with trying to pull up pricing. The employee who was checking out let his jaw drop when he saw I took the little paper. He kept going on about how I wasn't supposed to touch that and it was going to be hard for them to know where the item is located in the store, that they were out, and now wouldn't be able to order more. I didn't take it to heart until he called the front end manager (assuming that's her job title, as she bouces back and forth between registers, helping the other employees), and to say she made me feel even worse is an understatement. Now, most stores do not have employees with much training in customer service these days, buy I can say this is probably the worst I've ever been treated. It's one thing to be rude, but another to stand there, making a customer feel bad about something they tried to do out of thoughtfulness. Paper shouldn't be removed, make it a mire permanent fixture or write "do not remove" so customers would know. I love the ability to shop in person again, covid definitely made us all long for normal shopping experiences. But I wouldn't recommend coming to this store. I would rather shop online through Hobby Lobby or just visit a different craft and hobby store all together. Joanns is very short staffed and not well stocked still, but I keep going back due to prices and customer service- they've never...
Read moreMixed feelings about the resort although the adult pool area is where we really spent most of our time because there were way too many kids to go anywhere else. We stayed in a governor suite which was very nice and made some amazing friends poolside, especially the pool waiters and management of the adult pool area that provide amazing service. The restaurants were good but as I mentioned, a lot of children due to the grand having the water park. It wouldn't be as bothered if parents would take care and or watch their children but they just kind of let them do their thing. It would be nice if some of the other areas were adults only and that it didn't seem like you were just part of the crowd unless you were a diamond member. For example we would have to wait at breakfast along with all the non-members that come there even though we are members but if you are a diamond you go right in. We went at the end of May which should be more the beginning of the season but it was jammed with families. The housekeeping unfortunately was not on par with our other stays at Palace resorts so they must be having issues with their staffing. I did appreciate the management making an effort to make things right with some of the challenges we were having and in the end it was poolside staff that made the...
Read moreThis store drives me nuts. They really make shopping challenging. I was interested in some Christmas decor that was high up on a wall. There was no way for me to identify the cost of the items and they were well over 10' high. Why can't you put a small sign up that indicates the prices on things that are stocked up high? I wanted to know what the price was before deciding to purchase. With the limited staffing it takes a while to find someone and have them drag a high ladder out from the back of the store to check the price and get it down. Kevin helped me and he was fantastic! He was patient and checked a couple of items I was curious about. This isn't the first time I have had this issue. In the past I usually can't find help and end up leaving without buying anything. Stop making it so difficult for your customers. Put visible price signage on items on upper shelves or up on a wall (like clocks - I will never buy a clock a HL). The selection of Christmas decor was okay, although there was very little decor for...
