Me and 2 of my friends decided to go snowmobiling for the first time for all of us and we wanted an authentic, affordable, and fun snowmobiling experience in Towgotee Pass. We headed to JH Adventures at 8:30 in the morning and they were quick to check us in and have us a map of the area we were headed too and provided us a ton of useful suggestions for gas, food, etc. along the way. Next we geared up. I’m used to renting outdoor adventure gear and I’m used to getting gear that’s a little tattered, smelly, or old. This was far from the case here, they had clean and very nice snowmobiling jackets, pants, gloves, helmets, boots, and goggles! My whole party mentioned at the end of the day that we were never cold despite snowmobiling the entire day. Finally, they have us a great rundown of how to use the snowmobiles, get them off the trailers, use a ratchet, etc. Then we were on our way to our adventure! The cost of the rental truck to tow all 3 of our snowmobiles was $90 and a real steal! Overall, we split the cost of our snowmobiles and tow truck 3 ways and it was about $230 pp. We had such a fun time and bringing the gear in at the end was super easy and the team made us feel confident in the whole process. I will definitely be back and will always choose JH Adventures for my next Jackson adventure! These guys are professional, helpful, clean, and simply awesome to rent from!

We rented a pontoon boat for the day from the Alpine location yesterday and did the guided ATV tour out of the Jackson location today. Both were excellent. Pontoon boat - we rented the Sea-Doo boat, a two person tube and paid for them to put the boat in the water. Every part was great. The boat was in good condition and so was the tube. Ethan was awesome, friendly, and so helpful. The Palisades reservoir was absolutely stunning and we saw about 5 other boats on the lake all day, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. We pulled the kids in the tube, had some time just chilling in the water and on the boat, drove around and saw lots of pretty birds. Just an overall awesome day. ATV guided tour - we had Toby as our guide and he was spectacular. Just as nice of a guy as you can meet. The way the tour goes is that you ride for a little while, then you stop and see a good view, then ride some more, stop for lunch and continue like that for a couple of hours. My teenage sons absolutely loved the ATVs (you have to be 16 to drive) and I had a lot of fun, even though getting so dirty and dusty is a little outside of my comfort zone. Note - you will get dusty, you will get dirty. That's ok. ;) We chose to wear long sleeves and long pants and I think that was a good call. I didn't get hot. Thanks for two great days, Jackson Hole Adventure Rentals!!!

First I would like to start this review with how good this company USED to be. I have rented 10 sleds for a weekend over the last few years from these guys. Previous experiences were good. I will say that they do include gear with sled rentals which is cool and a trailer if you rent multiple sleds. I used to get multi-sled discounts, they stopped offering that this year which saddened me.

I reserved my sleds with half the money down months in advance like normal. I get a phone call a few days before the trip saying that they were switching around our sleds and couldn't upgrade us or anything for the inconvenience. Fine whatever..

We put about 100-150 miles on them over the weekend of just chill trail riding. Machines ran great other than a couple of them had pieces of plastic falling of them from not being bolted on correctly.

We returned our machines with no accidents, everyone had fun and did not wreck. We checked them in and the two employees that checked them in inspected the sleds very carefully, we pointed out everything including the plastic pieces. There was no major or even minor damage. We signed our paperwork, got our security deposit and credit card authorization forms back. They told us they shredded our card numbers (which was a lie).

Along the way home I get a phone call stating that one of my sleds had front end damage including the front bumper and exhaust that is under the hood (hood not damaged I guess?). They asked us to come back and pay for the damage. We disputed these allegations so they said they would handle it. I asked to see the sled the next day and they said they had already repaired it and rented it out. They claim they had overnighted the parts from 8pm Saturday night and it was rented out Sunday morning (pretty fast UPS service I guess). We began our journey home a day late about 5 hours south and went to fill the fuel tank on our truck and got a declined bank card. We found that Jackson Hole Adventure Rentals had authorized multiple transactions and drained our bank account. -$500 and -$350 which left us in the negative and unable to use any of our funds.

I spoke with them about this and they told us that there was nothing that could be done they had already charged our account and all the correct charges would clear for the parts that were damaged.

Here I am sitting at home accepting what had happened when MORE charges hit my account. I am going to have to call the bank and find out for sure but it looks like another -$500 and another -$350 have been removed from my account after depositing money to correct the negative balance.

I will get this figured out but man what a huge hassle it has been. Especially when someone claims they have shredded your bank card information after a successful undamaged signed in return. And then they just charge a whole bunch of random funds. I am extremely disappointed and will probably get my ten sleds elsewhere next year. $2,500 a weekend will go to another company that doesnt charge thousands for a $50...

Took my wife, a 5X, stage 4 breast cancer survivor, to Jackson Hole for her 40th birthday. We rented 2 ATV's from JH Adventure rentals for a day on the trails of Shadow Mountain. When we arrived at the rental location, a heavy set older woman, who seemed very disheveled and half drunk, was there to give us directions to the trail site. She gave us 4 separate maps, and explained, seemingly quite confused herself, several different sets of directions to us. After correcting herself each time, and admitting that the last directions she explained were wrong a few times, she drew a route on 2 of the maps explaining how to get there. We took her final draft route, getting lost along the way. After stopping to ask a sheriff that we bumped into to clarify her self drawn route, and showing him her map, and after said sheriff saying that her map was incorrect, we found the final location that she told us to go to. It was the wrong place. I called and spoke to her on the phone, to which she yelled at me, blamed me for getting her ditections wrong, and told me to come back for a refund. I didn't take her advice, and found the right place using my GPS, which was 20 miles away from where she told me to go. 3 hours after acquiring the ATV's, we made it to the trails. The trails were AMAZING! ATV's were not, and took a few minutes of shaking them front and back to get them into gear. We had a great time on the trails, awesome pictures and views of the Tetons. When we returned the ATV's to the shop, I attempted to explain to the woman how she had wasted half of our rental time sending us on a wild goose chase with completely false directions. She proceeded to yell at me, blaming me, and being completely unprofessional and rude. So, after being belligerently screamed at and told to leave the store, and wasting half of my rental time lost from bad directions, I give this place 1/2 of a star, all because of the lady with a half a brain. She has no business in customer service, and this entire experience would have been 5+ stars had it not been for her involvement. She should be fired immediately for the way we were treated, and the business should refund our money for ruining our day. I will follow up if they correct themselves. Until then, DO NOT RENT FROM...

Complete Indifference to Customer Safety

My daughter and I took the ATV tour. My daughter was following the guide and trying to keep up with her. After completing 75% of the tour, my daughter lost control of the vehicle, veered off the trail and crashed into a tree. She broke her left wrist and right wrist, arm, and elbow. It took a five hour surgery to repair all the damage. She rolled down an embankment. she was unable to move and the ATV was perched above her. Fortunately, two customers on the tour stayed with my daughter and I. The wife comforted my daughter and the husband leaned against the ATV to make sure it didn't roll onto my daughter. The guide just called the park service and then sat on the trail socializing. Because of the remoteness of the location, it took 1hour for the park service to arrive and two hours to get to the hospital. The park service and hospital were great.

The hospital is 2 miles from the ATV office. I called the ATV office and asked for a ride from the hospital to get my car at the ATV office. They agreed under the ruse of being helpful. Once at the office, they directed me into the office to get my credit card and put a $3,000 charge on it to pay for repairs to the ATV (actual damage was $1,500). They also put a document in front of me that they wanted me to complete so they could use it against me in the event of a lawsuit (I am not suing).

The ATV company is passionate about the health and safety of their ATVs. They are indifferent to the health and safety of their customers. Their customers are just tourists who come and go so why should they care if they live or die.

I understand ATV riding involves risk. But the ATV ride is marketed to tourists with no experience ATV riding or on Wyoming trails. The ATV company and guide have an ethical, not legal, responsibility to look out for the people they are leading. The way the tour is structured the guide drives as fast as they can on the trail and only looks back at turns to see if the group is together.

I hope future tourists will choose to use a company that cares about their...
